  1. This whole situation is reminding me of the last year of Cotterill. He got us up, smashed league one, won another trophy. Yet the summer was kind of farcical. Lack of investment, some stupid bids going in that went nowhere. Cotterell clearly frustrated. A bit like Pearson now. Granted Pearson hasn't had the success, but then he is in a very competitive league to begin with, and had the fortune of a golden crop of youngsters. Which should bear fruit in terms of reinvestment, but it isn't working out like that. Cotterell was sacked just before January and lo and behold. Signings started to flurry. Then we had years of Johnson jnr and investment. Is this a vicious cycle? Is Lansdowns ego that bad? He appears to me as someone that cannot handle certain types of personalities. To the detrement of the team. Is he actually suitable as a realistic owner to progress? I don't think so. I know there are far worse. But we appear to have an owner that is way more fixated on his own ego. This is not a good trait. I don't think Pearson will be here next season. I believe Lansdown is actively looking for a reason to get rid, if not, to do so in the summer. I think personally the lansdowns have had their day. It's over. We will never ever progress under them because of the ego of Steve Lansdown.
  2. Yep. Awful defending for a couple of minutes preceding that.
  3. You have to wander what the hell is it that Lansdown wants. You have to start questioning if he has the clubs best interest at heart or his own ego.
  4. Yeah some of this ain't sitting right with me. It's crystal clear that NP is being kept in the dark regarding the future of our players and potentially being lied too. It's evident Lansdown was looking to sell Scott this summer whereby Pearson believed our preference was to keep him if we could. To come out and say these summer signings were on the assumption we sold Scott, and Pearsons comments that we signed Knight not as a replacement. And he wanted them playing together, plus his obvious disappointment when we sold him. It's just contradictory. This is all concerning. Is Lansdown actually actively looking to sell the club? If ever there was evidence of somebody taking us as far as they can, this is clearly it.
  5. In fairness, Kompany appears to like to sign 50,000 players and sees which stick. He has already signed a couple of duffers for Burnley.
  6. The only viable option would be to get shot of him surely.
  7. So have we caved then? Not £25m? Mid,striker, goalie please with the money.
  8. Never particularly liked it even in its heyday, but its clearly become way worse as the years went on.
  9. Plus for his sake, and potential future victims, I'd say its crucial he is removed from the career which has undoubtedly helped lead to his belief that nobody has a right to say no to him..
  10. Isn't there a way they can still sack him for damaging clubs reputation or something? I mean all the stuff that we heard was sickening to say the least. I'd be very uncomfortable if he was a player for us personally.
  11. Well soon see I suppose. I'm not holding much confidence in being able to mitigate the loss at all during the Jan. window.
  12. That's all fine and dandy, and can completely understand it if it was pre season. What really gets my back up is selling irreplaceable players mid season when we are by no means safe.
  13. It's just going to make me laugh, when we are going to have the same people demanding Pearson being sacked when we look turgid again. Good luck boys. Keeping us up this season and next will be the miracle. Imo he'd deserve manager of the season if it happens. We all know deep down who the problems are at the club. It will just be amusing if we see posters demanding him go when this is what he is working with.
  14. Good luck to you all. Enjoy tossing off to former players while we build an average league 1 team then demand the manager sacked for losing. So much fun. So much ambition. Love that you are all ok with us selling our best players. Enjoy. In January no less. When we are in a relegation battle ??? **** me.
  15. The end of the day. This is a club going nowhere fast. Whilst we watch other clubs get away with **** knows what ie Bournemouth. We need new ownership. How much of that will we get for new players? My guess is not much. And how can you even replace somebody like Semenyo? You can't. So to sell him in January is not only baffling, it's a Hitler esque shooting oneself in the foot.
  16. This shows where we are as a club. It's in a sorry state. One that's willing to sell not only a key asset. But one that is virtually unreplaceable in terms of what he brings. In the middle of the season, when we are scraping results at the bottom half of the table. Dire. We are in a mess. I think its time the lansdowns went. The quicker, the better.
  17. Well, the players he picking in the positions he's playing them certainly aren't seeming to be.
  18. I'd take him over Pearson.
  19. Sack. Refusing to change formation. Playing players out of position. Not playing players he signs. Defensively we show zero improvement week in week out. Really woeful imo.
  20. Defensively we are worse though. And the picking players out of position, refusing to change formation is getting to the point of ridiculous.
  21. Try halal then, which more and more supermarkets and takeouts are serving
