Just read that tickets to see Liam GallaghernotManning and John Squires scraping the barrell are £65 so a season ticket of £400 not so bad (gets one out of the house once a fortnight) ...

I would try Brian, match day announcer-idiot, and Downsy as .... as, er, Director of Football. Worth a try

Is this going to make any difference whatsoever?
Not if we're still ponderously passing the ball sideways across the halfway line, no

I prefer a mix of blackthorn, natch and cheddar valley. But that tends to lead to privy rather than privet.
Privet and privy are interchangeable as far as I'm concerned so help yerself and fire away; the neatly clipped privet hedge is not for me.

As far as atmosphere goes, we're always going to be struggling with it, because:
- in the Championship and were we to reach the Prem up there too, we will not have the best players and the stronger team, and so we will not dominate teams and attack in the way, for example, Leeds will do, or Liverpool/Arsenal in PL, and pepper the opposition goal (and it is "peppering" the opposition's goal more than anything that leads to atmosphere*)
- in L1 and 2 we will have the better players and stronger team and be able to "pepper" the opposition goal but none of us will give a **** because it's only Walsall/Gillingham/Peterborough and peppering their bleedin goal, well, we should be shouldn't we? Yawn.
So, as far as "atmosphere" goes, we're buggered. Plus, we're apathetic West Country sorts who just can't be arsed. And we're also somewhat jaded now and have no belief that anything truly exciting is happening here. Certainly not the "peppering" of the Leicester goal on Good Friday.
*Unless it's Walsall/Gillingham/Peterborough's goal.

And in a possession based footballing environment; they would become hedgehogs.
The loss of Britain's hedgerows is not a laughing matter, Rob. I for one applaud Stevie Lansdown for ordering one to be planted across the pitch up the Failand HPC

This isn’t knocking the club. But have any other team ever released a squad photo in March for that season?!?!?
Liking the hedge, although I would go for a native mix of blackthorn, hawthorn and yew. This country needs its hedgerows back.

My loyalties and affections remain t'ward Bristol City, although yesterday most of my affection was showered on mummy, like half of us "mummy's boys" Bristol City fans (and unlike those motherless Scallies and Mancs, I note; plus all them Taffies at the egg chasing: no empty seats there)

Who’s on anyway @headhunter? Ian on or is he busy with a prior engagement in Brian’s rectum?
You got the one where he does Everton fans in shell suits? Same sort of thing really

FWIW, as I was exiting the SS concourse to the car park, one of the little sods (not SOD) was being held by a security bloke…I assume whilst he waited for his parent / guardian to meet up. He tried to make a break for it, only to be caught again.

We rely hugely on those two.
Dickie is not only very effective at stopping the opposition but he’s now our go to player to make play & about our second or third most likely scorer.
At present he’s nailed on for ........
.... an ACL injury by the end of April (or at Stoke, most likely)

What are you like with temptation - can you resist it?

That was bloody terrible. Literally the worse performance of the season.
Unfortunately all it’s done is give Manning breathing space.
Making that my last visit to the gate this season. Can no longer sit through it and cant celebrate even when they win.
Goodbye then, come back if we do well. Or whenever you feel like it

Second half to remember coming up, a mixture of Lee's "busy bees" and Nige's "dogs of war," plus technical progressive well-coached front-foot football behaviours-and-no-emotions Pep-type Klopp heavy metal ...... 0:2 probably (tbf)

The forum today and the Matchday thread will be eerily quiet what with "Mother's Day" and all that ....

Anyone else think the attendance will be fairly low compared to normal? With Mother’s Day and the midday kickoff assume a fair few might stay away. Recent performances haven’t helped either
Mother's Day!!! If Leeds were playing at Plymouth today, would they fail to fill their end because "with Mother's Day" ?! Or, if we were third like Ipswich, a point off second, would the crowd be patchy like it will be today because it's "Mother's Day" ?
It's because we're midtable and shite/dull that people will stay away today. Meanwhile, they'll pop round their muh's with some cheap flowers from Tresco and chappy milk chocolates, then while she's droning on about her various aches and pains and how she can't get a doctor's appointment, you'll all be checking yer phones to see if we're 0:2 down so's you can get on otib and get stuck in to Manning and Tinnion.

Going out for a meal with me mum appears a whole lot more interesting than attending the shite currently being served up as entertainment at the gate
No doubt, but there's 300 or so days in any year when we're not playing and you can be nice to yer mum.
