  1. Succint and true. They weren't fit to wear that shirt today. I didn't expect that turgid rubbish today. There are some playing for a contract but it didn't show. A completely gutless performance after the last few games. Bunch of losers only getting themselves up for the big games. Roll on summer.

    The Run In

Average PPG of those clubs above us dictates that there will be a few who will either maintain or decrease slightly due to opposition they have to play. Same for us - which indicates that we will finish nowhere near top 6 in terms of points. We are not consistent enough. IF we can finish top 10, that will be a very good outcome imo.
  3. They want to offer the away team thousands of extra tickets just to get their attendances up - housing them in their magnificent new stand. So they've built a stand for the away supporters ? Strange club.
  4. Very doubtful as their average attendance is only about 70 more than ours and 3,000 under capacity.
  5. You're probably correct. This site says 3k is the normal allocation; https://footballgroundguide.com/leagues/england/premier-league/the-hawthorns-west-bromwich-albion.html
  6. The capacity is 26,850 so max should be around 2685. If they take off segregation and allow for the concourse sharing, it doesn't seem far short of a max allocation.
  7. QPR had 59% possession last night at Stoke, losing 0-1. But there's no context to that, much of it may have been passing around the back for instance and they only had one shot on target (10 off) with an xG of .37 (for those that like xG). In the context that Stoke had lost the previous 4 shipping 13 goals and scoring just 3, it was a disappointing game for QPR. They've played 7 games this calendar year with 5 of them at home, winning their only other away game 2-1 at Blackburn. They've drawn away at Ipswich (0-0), and won at PNE (2-0), and also won at Middlesbrough (2-0) so they can pull off some excellent away results. But they are the exception rather than the rule, they've only scored 12 goals away and conceded 20. Not an easy game as they are capable of springing a surprise as illustrated above, but we are rightly odds on favourites with most bookies and with the momentum we've built I'm expecting a win by two goals.
  8. Just looking at current and past 8 games PPG, I would think 47 points would be safe from relegation this season and 74 points for 6th place. The teams above us have a few games where they are playing each other in the next 3 games and Hulls game in hand is Southampton away. Also to note that of the top 11, only Coventry, Norwich, and PNE (won 3 on the trot) are currently out performing their PPG over the last 8 games in relation to their season form. Obviously, that can change given the fixtures. We need 6+ points in the next three just to keep in touch short term - not relevant which games we win. For me, its either Norwich or PNE for 6th place, hopefully we can get a top 10 finish which would be excellent imo. 9. They've already capitulated by now offering family tickets in the their magnificent new stand £419 adult and £99 for under 14s. Bargain advertised - get two under 14s for £198.
  10. Even if we win saturday we won't move from 11th..
  11. 96th minute Coventry equaliser..
  12. Could do with a Boro equaliser.
  13. I didn't say they aren't a good team. I said that they aren't very good tonight (and they aren't) against a team that has just rolled over for them. English comprehension is lost these days.
  14. Wore that shirt to the 2008 play off final, bought it from Toffs as well.
  15. 29. https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/bristol-city-flashback-invincible-leeds-3845168 It was.
  16. Was watching Millwall v Ipswich but turned it off at 0-2 to Ipswich (now 0-3). Millwall are terrible, just rolling over, its not as if Ipswich are very good - they aint, just a really poor capitulation from Millwall. They are going to get pelters from their supporters. And how the hell are Preston in front against Boro - stats https://www.flashscore.co.uk/match/OnimjsCf/#/match-summary/match-statistics/0 Stoke beating QPR 1-0.
  17. Exactly. Those saying tin pot have absolutely no idea of the magnitude of that victory. Its them that are tin pot, ignorant of the history.
  18. Good episode, young Tim Tom spoke well and gave some good info re the academy.
  19. Normally longer grass could be attributed to the Bears having an imminent game, but I don't see that they have any games coming up over the weekend. Be interesting to see if its the same on saturday.
  20. I'm not sure how/why you see the post title as clickbait. I saw it, thought it was the original thread, then immediately realised the title was a piss take (against himself more than anything). Anyway, I'm sure you agree with the content - it was a near perfect peformance whereby Martin had no answers to manning unravelling his game plan. It was noticeable to me that in the late stages of the game, their players resorted to petty fouling and a couple of rugby tackles with a couple booked in added time. They didn't like it up 'em.
  21. Agreed - Leeds a far better team imo.
  22. Surprised how knackered they were - they've had nowhere near the amount of games we've had and yet we finished stronger, they resorted to fouling (couple of rugby tackles as well). Seen plenty better teams than them against us this season. They didn't like it up 'em did they
  23. Permission granted. You can be as smug as a smug thing wrapped in a smug blanket in smugsville on the planet smug.
  24. We only won because they were knackered and played well under par. Also, we are a very average team. (according to the Southampton forum)
