  1. I don't get the boring football tag with McCarthy, his cardiff side absolutely battered us and his Wolves side with ebanks Blake that won the league played great football. Even his ipswich side didnt play bad football. To many people think that if you have a manager that makes players battle on the pitch that they must not play attractive football.
  2. No we didn't play ok. Apart from the season with reid the football was as boring as it has been under Holden.
  3. I dont think anyone is saying they are bad players but it was a silly decision to play 2 players alongside each other who aren't match fit. That is Holdens fault. It wasn't like he didnt have any other options.
  4. Both looked rusty and was a stupid decision to play both at once. William's I thought looked miles off the pace and his touch was poor at times. Lansbury i thought looked ok but tired 2nd half. Would have been much better starting one of them with HNM and another. We really didnt get to grips with the game in CM. I do think though when they are up to pace we have some decent options there.
  5. My oldman had this top, unfortunately in his final days when he was bed bound we had to cut it off him to get it off without causing to much pain. Great to see it as it brings back memories of him. Will keep an eye out if I can find another to add to my collection
  6. I missed today's game so cant judge on his performance but I would love to see a combination of pato and Palmer behind 1 striker with 2 with men in a 451 or 352. Think both can tuck in a bit and both need runners off the ball. May seem weak but may actually see us playing the ball and keeling it. Either could be swapped with Walsh or Williams when fit
  7. Man U won the European cup and finish near the top of the league in the Prem most seasons. We beat them the other year so why aren't we competing at that level?
  8. So we take another 3 points and out score the amazing Blackburn yet loads will still criticise. They had a few nice moves but mostly Armstrong shooting from 30 yards out.
  9. Yeah it was his fault hunt didnt shoot into an empty net. It was his fault o'dowda blasted over
  10. I actually think we have been alright tonight, not amazing but alright. Considering the sky pundits can't get enough of Blackburn they have really had chance after chance. We have had the better chances but finishing has been poor
  11. As much as I wouldn't be seen dead in something like this could it actually be more of a sports science thing rather than just not being a hard man on the pitch. As he has suffered a lot with hamstring injuries is there logic that it keeps them tight and compact and also warm?
  12. Drop me a message Saturday to remind me and I will have aa look through my old programmes (pretty sure i got one). If i do you can have it
  13. Could not disagree more. The game is becoming duller and duller as it is. Football is all about passion and they will always be our main rivals and rightly so. I wouldn't want to help them in anyway or join forces. If we became champions of europe and beating the likes of Barca I would still find it great seeing them lose to teams like chippenham town. As for Man U, chelsea etc being our rivals nah not for me. Be great beating those sides but the gas will always be number one followed by cardiff
  14. But the flip side of it is that everyone has to pay out more on tickets, shirts etc to cover these costs
  15. Considering we have scored 8 so far from 7 different goal scorers there is no reason the squad wont chip in a big number. Also I wouldn't be shocked to see wells closer to 30 in all comps and martin 20
