So Warren signed up Nicola Adams today. He no doubt had to outbid Hearn, who tried to shrug it off, but something tells me that he hoped that giving Katie Taylor centre stage would entice Adams. You might not be a fan of women's boxing (I personally think Adams and Taylor will inspire a surge in female participation), but from a promotional perspective don't underestimate Adams' appeal. She's a darling of British sport, an OBE no less, and she's got style. I actually proposed that Warren should sign her on my website back in December: http://www.bigtimeboxing.co.uk/?p=345 Warren needed to add something different to his stable, which in truth is lagging way behind Matchroom, and this could help draw attention to his new collaboration with BT Sports. I can't agree with LJ being lucky. I mean had we not had a bizarre turnaround away at Wednesday, we'd have been completely flying! Then we got 10 points from 4 tricky games including wins against Leeds at home, and a 4-0 at Fulham. Lucky? It was surreal bad luck to lose the game at Hillsborough and we were fantastic all season despite that...until the international break. Then somehow he lost the players.

Lucky? For four months of last season and two months of this?

I keep seeing this comment but is it true? We got 17 points from our first 10 games, plus won tricky cup ties away at Scunthorpe and Fulham. That's not fluke. We were a good side up until October! Then something happened... EDIT: We were a good side from February to end of September!

I really think that Kovalev will be kicking himself when he watches it back. After three rounds he was well in charge, but he let Ward regain control of the pace of the action. Kov seemed content to cut the ring off and land single shots (mostly jabs). On the rare occasion he threw two or three punch combinations he had success, but was way too tentative with his considerable firepower. I don't know if Kov just tired early on, or if he was wary of Ward's attacking threat, but he didn't 'go for it' in the second half of the fight, and he'll wish he did. Of course, Ward showed his class to land the more attractive shots and will be relieved to have pulled that out the bag.

Was at the game and came away thinking we are definitelya better team than them but it was a fair result based on number of goalscoring chances. Barnsley were clearly playing to hold on but did look very dangerous around the penalty box. We were the opposite.

What minute will Lee Tomlin get sent off in? I'm going for the 52nd...

1-0 down at half time. Well we've been here before this season haven't we. Forest look poor so no reason we can't turn this around. Johnson decided today that speed and skill would win this for us today and to be fair we've given Forest pleanty of trouble with one touch stuff. Forest got a grip after 25 mins of one way traffic and got the goal courtesy of Taylor Moore's defending. Don't get sensitive about me criticising Moore. He's only a kid so huge potential and to be fair his caracter appears tough. But he has looked out of his comfort zone at times, particularly going forward. Overlapping he has been struggling on the ball. Tammy looks pumped up for this but we haven't really created any chances for him. Tame header form Bobby the only chance on goal I think. Good crosses from O'Dowda and Paterson weren't met and other than that we just haven't converted in final third. We're clearly the better team though, so we should break Forest down eventually.

On the Leeds radio link posted earlier, they referred to Tomlin as 'Fatboy' and 'tart' and said he should be sent off for raised hand

The big question is: can we perform well in both halves?!

Would I? Pretty sure I've never said that?! I'm happy for us to switch to alternative systems if the game requires but my personal opinion is that our players would prefer to have the stability of a preferred starting system and the continuity of a settled team.

Really happy of course with the equaliser and current league position. I'm concerned though that we don't know our best formation, let alone line up. All a bit Roy Hodgson at the minute...

Surprised about Brownhill

Very anxious about this game. I think the table will really take shape after these fixtures. Win tonight and we'll look like title contenders, lose and we'll be FC Average.

To be so dominant against another side away from home just reinforces that feeling that we've graduated to being a top half Championship side. Tough game next up - a real test of our credentials. Comeback results always help morale, so we should be up for it.
