  1. I was sat in the home stand and there was a lot of praise for Walsh from a couple of guys with notebooks sat close to me. He was always getting into space and available for the pass. Wollacott made some extremely good saves and we do seem to have a fair number of good keepers. Sammie definitely wants the ball and defenders will not like him running at them like an Exocet missile and he picked a few good passes. All in all, quite impressed with where we are. Hope to have a good season.
  2. Living approximately 200 yards outside of a London Borough it does get my goat that I am one stop away from cheap skates!
  3. Bit harsh there Bob - I don't think he put a foot wrong.
  4. 19:23 FULL-TIME Bristol City 1-0 Huddersfield Bristol City knock the Premier League's bottom side Huddersfield out of the FA Cup. What a great win! Or perhaps it was expected from one of the Championship's in-form sides. Couldn't agree more!
  5. Just going to moan about the poor freekick but what a goal. Excellent play by Brownhill.

    TV adverts

Being here for just the week, it is a case of using what is provided in the apartment we are renting. I do feel sorry for the Spanish having to put up with this dross and can’t wait to get back to itv et al.
  7. I am in Spain on holiday and I am totally amazed by the number of adverts being shown during tv programmes. They just seem to cut to the ads with no warning and there seems to be at least 15 to 20 ads. Plenty of time to get another cold one out of the fridge but, it is seriously doing my head in. How do exiles in Spain cope and are there worse places?
  8. That must be the shortest match thread going and hopefully BigTone can give a good condensed version! Congrats on the marriage Hav and best wishes for the future. I hope Mrs H actually appreciates that you are really married to BCFC and she will for various periods of 90 minutes each week just be expected to pick you up off the floor or listen to you screaming with joy. Hope it is the latter this season. COYR.
  9. I am concerned that by selling two of our best known names it may reduce our stock in the eyes of players who might have wanted to join us. They may decide that we don't have the desire to get to the Premier League and look at other teams who may give them better chances.
  10. But surely, if I understand Robbered correctly, he is still our player until it is announced on the official site...................
  11. I bet LJ is really proud that one of his players has just played 90 minutes against Argentina in the World Cup. Reckon he will be on the phone to Mags right now congratulating him.
  12. Surely that is not fair - give them at least 3 transfer windows!
  13. That looks more like it to me. I reckon we are going for 3 points.
  14. I didn't see the game last night but, in the games I have watched I believe there has been a major shift in our approach to the game. Previously I always felt that we were being extremely naive and far too respecting of the rules, the opposition and the officials. This year we have become far more street wise and have decided to play our game and let the opposition worry about us instead of us bowing to them. Perhaps 'little old City' has finally grown up and decided we can hope to mix with the big boys.
  15. I always believed the main problem was getting the top off. Perhaps grabbing the body in one hand and applying a sharp twist to the top would enable Mr L to not just satisfy Mrs L but also a large number of supporters at the same time.
  16. But some people actually like Marmite, don't they?
  17. All smoke and mirrors to confuse anyone who reads it I am afraid. This has been going on for years now. Even Sir Alf Ramsey put Nobby Styles in a number 9 shirt once and it fooled absolutely no-one. If we get 3 worthwhile points today I really don't care what formation we play!
  18. At least you will have something to celebrate!! Enjoy the evening.
