  1. I never considered that but now you say it I reckon that you are on to something there. Cannot believe this is not being discussed more; granted it is just a theory and “don’t shoot the messenger” but I am reeling
  2. Sounds like a Is that allowable to call a a if they clearly are a ? If not I will take the short term ban cos - what a
  3. What I find baffling in all this is :- 1. Why has none of the press got the balls to query his responses as we all know the real truth of why Nigel was sacked 2. Why did they not get rid of Nigel at the end of 22/23 season? He hasn’t bruised their egos in just the last few weeks, it has been over a long period so setting him up to fail this season by not giving him funds to strengthen this season is an insult to fans buying S/Ts, memberships etc. (under a fair presumption that we would have had a stronger squad to compete or certainly be better equipped than we are with some of the Scott funds being spent).
  4. I did look on here first and cannot see a link to this but if there is one then please merge/delete. As expected he is rolling back a bit on promotion and based on comments I think we are actually on yet another longer term reset. Judge for yourselves
  5. 43 years since we were last in the top flight. 18 years since judge me on Tinnion. 7 years ago since Lee Johnson was at the helm and given millions. Been taking my 28 year old daughter to the Gate for 25 years and she has not seen top flight football I have been going myself regularly for 40 years and never seen it. Yet all I am seeing now is the normal, take it up the wrong ‘un City fan acceptance and the “give it time” type posts as we endure the latest Lansdown managed “reset”. I feel I have given it quite enough time and I pray that the Lansdowns (and Tinnion) are out of this club very, very soon. Back when I was 13 I would have laughed at suggestions I may not see top flight football in my lifetime but as we bounce around from one “give it a couple of years” to the next reset I do wonder ….. !!
  6. This needs pinning for end of season assessment - I predict most will not be progressing satisfactorily but I hope to be very wrong
  7. Unfortunately protests at the Gate rarely work as cider/lager quota seems more important to us - which to be fair is understandable. This takes away any large gathering outside stadium at like 1pm with Lansdown out type banners so the next best option would be like 2:40 in the stands for 15 mins before the team comes out but that will not happen - that is last orders in the concourse time !! So for me the option is do nothing but cheer the team and support until about 3:30 when there is a few minutes of NP’s red and white army and then something aimed at the Lansdown and preferably (for me anyway) their new sidekick. **** Off Lansdown, **** Off Tinman in a loop will work. This way we support the players with no booing but the targets get the message presuming they even have the balls to turn up - press will pick up on it as will their other brown tongued disciples so they will find out
  8. That will be a feather in the cap. Comes with his own training cone nose so players could run around that. Forward thinking club to have a bird in charge. Pass on some experienced wing knowledge.
  9. They always do - sign here that you won’t discuss internal matters specifically related to your board dealings and you can have your cheque. Gutless compromise agreements ruin freedom of speech
  10. Personally I have long considered Brian Tinnion a brown noser but the problem is you call him out on X and you get all the “you’re a legend Tins” brigade all over you. Great player but shit manager who should be out of football matters once a player gets promoted to the first team squad training. I am sure his worshippers will be all over this - ready, steady, go
  11. So take it up the glitter and hope for the best approach? The normal Bristol City fanbase approach that has served us so well and allowed the owner to continue to do whatever he wants.

    He’s gone.

I just hope everybody remembers their words today. Football fans are fickle and if Mr Yes Man comes in tomorrow and we win a couple too many upset now will change their tune and suddenly be ‘maybe it was the right decision’. Any success between now and season end will be down to the attitudes Nigel has drilled into this side and only partially down to the successor. I will certainly remember come 24/25 renewal time as for first time in years I am done. Not knee-jerk, just final, absolute acceptance that as long as Lansdown is here there will never be enough funds made available to achieve top 6 again and I have wasted thousands already on that impossible dream
  13. I have just gone in and left on automatic updates but turned off notifications - maybe that is already what you have?
  14. Yep - clearly an iPhone only issue. I wondered if maybe they are pre-loading all fixtures in to whatever system ‘talks’ to our phones and it is forcing refreshes after every batch. Kin annoying for sure
  15. Unfortunately this is where I am currently. Been renewing for years now but my head is telling me that with SL in charge we will remain in mid-table obscurity for years whoever is the manager. I love this club but I cannot keep shelling out so much money on tickets and merchandise when the hope for anything remotely resembling success has finally gone. Steve with his arrogance will not care I (and hopefully many others) have not renewed but I will know I have shown my contempt for his running of my club and that will do for me until he is finally forced out and I can return 17 years now since we have finished top 6 in the championship - FOL’s
  16. iPhone? If so :- It should ping and update later but best bet to set now is to go on to wallet, click the 3 dots, go in to “pass details” then turn off automatic updates then turn it back on again - should refresh to Plymouth

  18. A question that I cannot see in the other pages. I am on hols for WBA game and I have a big linked group so my already linked mate is probably taking his already linked wife but maybe his already linked son according to whether he has a game for his team. If I send my ticket through the proper “forward ticket” method to the wife she will receive an e-mail to add to her apple wallet, but what if she doesn’t action it and leaves the e-mail sat in that state? What if instead the son can go after all and she simply forwards the e-mail to him using mail and not via BS login. He will receive the e-Mail but will the link work as ticket not added elsewhere? I do not understand the technology but my original transaction is cancelling the game for me and sending an e-mail with the link to add another so in my simple thinking forwarding the e-mail without actioning the link should/could/will/won’t work for the forwarded recipient? If so then in theory it could be somebody completely different who does not even have a Bristol Sport account ?!
  19. I raised this on “X” recently as they were advertising Oxford tickets “from £10 for adults” and I said this is inaccurate as the cheapest you could actually pay was £11.25 even if you order online and print at home. The usual “club can do no wrong brigade” had a moan back at me in the comments - standard !!
  20. My iPhone is. Sure it will get refreshed soon. To be honest after yesterday they can leave it and I’ll just mill around the fans village ?
  21. Impressive - came up on iPhone at 1pm and click on it and S/T opens in wallet. No excuse for issues at turnstiles when it is this simple !!
  22. Surely something from “Tommy” would be better. He's a ping ball wizard There has to be a twist A ping ball wizard Makes me have one off the wrist
  23. He speaks highly of you
