    Watched it out of curiosity, was much better than I was expecting. A lot of the original features are still there, with Lee Trundle in the Jeff Astle singing role at the end (Elis James is a Swansea fan and Trundle is his favourite player like Astle was for Frank Skinner)

    The sacking itself isn't so much of a surprise but the timing very much is.

    Yeah pretty much, it's intended as a development competition for younger players and some fringe players to get minutes, and mostly played in midweek and during international periods so the big names are mostly nowhere near it.

    Well he lived to see 24, which is good, as I know he was worrying about that.

    Yeah pretty much, probably no more than about 200. Hampshire have no real incentive to chase anything too big and it's win or bust, so they might as well give them something that they'll have a go at.

    No, if it goes in then the ref isn't sent to check for the penalty. Though with the amount of time that had passed the VAR man would have already looked at it, and by the time play stopped he was in a position to immeditaely tell the ref to go and look at the screen as it was an obvious penalty.

    Can definitely sense that a few posters wet themselves with excitement when Maguire did that, prove them "right" and all that.

    You'd be forgiven for thinking that Reece James has never played at wingback in his life before. Absolutely no awareness of what's around him.

    Confirmed that they've been suspended from all competitions with immediate effect.

    Yep. And all these managers go in knowing the score, a few months work and a nice payoff with minimal damage to reputation.
