  1. That's fair, all young kids have a Premier league club to follow. Didn't he also used to share a flat with Alex? I'm worried Alex will end up tempting him to join him down on the coast. I can't wait for the day we overtake Bournemouth and start signing their young talent!
  2. Bloody love this kid, I had no idea he had been with us since he was 7. That's pretty amazing really, makes you appreciate he must be City through and through. Awesome determination and poise for the goal, and led the line very well. Also, got to admire his confidence to think he can make the Scottish Euro squad, probably a bit too early for him to make the sort of step up, but loving the ambition. Just hope we can hold onto him for a couple more seasons and watch him become a top striker playing for us! Stay away Bournemouth!!
  3. Joe Williams was a monster last night, the sort of display that gets your blood pumping and fires up the crowd. He was lucky though not to get a red card, in the modern game, it was a minor miracle!
  4. I fancy a 2-1 City win tonight, should be a cracking game. Come on you Redddssss!
  5. No, surely not, has he gone stark raving mad???
  6. What a top bloke, is it fair to say he will be a club legend? His goals have helped us remain a Championship club through some tough times. And he seems to have played the game for as long as I can remember. Here's hoping he gets to 60 goals.
  7. I'm still gobsmacked by the score and the fact we've won 3 in a row. Let's keep the wins and the good times coming!
  8. How on earth does that work? t's crazy to think that so much technical analysis, data extraction, time and effort goes into each game of football to secure this sort of information. Until I read this thread I had no idea! Will drones be used for this at some stage?
  9. Nigel was an absolute rock of a manager, guided us through a tough time and helped the club in so many ways in quite a short time. I wish his health had allowed him to see out the rest of the season here, and then beyond. All the best with your health and your future. Perhaps if he fully recovers, and it goes tits up with Manning, he might be swept back in next Summer???
  10. I love Tins, always have, always will. He was my fave player in the mid 90's and as such will always have my respect. I don't blame him for this, I blame Jon. As far as I can tell, apart from being the son of a billionnaire and a City fan, which is fair, he has never demonstrated an ounce of ability when it comes to running the club. JL should resign, or be forced out, and replaced by someone capable of running a Championship club. I also don't feel Tins is right for this current role at City, he should be involved in the academy and that's about it. I hate that his reputation is being tarnished once more.
  11. He was the manager when I first started watching in the early 90's and as such will always be a legend. Happy Birthday Joe, I'd have you on the City board right now if possible!
  12. I haven't posted for a long old while as I lost my appetite for football, but for some reason my stomach has started to rumble again. So, onto the guy we face on the weekend, is he going to rip us to pieces (sadly, I fear he will), and how far will he go in the game - England with his brother? I wonder if Liverpool will go for the younger version of the man they missed out on, if I was Klopp I'd take the chance to sign him before it's too late. He's only 18, and has so far (according to BBC) only scored 4 career goals, but after scoring the winner during the week, you'd imagine his confidence is going to surge and I'd expect him to go on a bit of a streak. Of course I'd love SL to dip into his ever-growing nest egg and try to tempt him here, but that's obviously too ludicrous to even consider, but there you go, I've only gone and done it. What are your thoughts on the fella and his future?
  13. No, I'd say finish this season whenever the new term is fit to start, even if that is months down the line. Of course the squads will be different, managers may have changed, but the teams should still finish this league campaign. Hard to really care though isn't it, football is completely irrelevant. I wouldn't be surprised if the game doesn't start again for at least a year, and a lot of teams may not exist come that time.
  14. Starting to think that humanity may never fully recover from this situation. There's too much damage being caused to the world's infrastructure that will only worsen with time and may never be restored. Remember the days when football seemed important? Sorry to sound overly bleak.
  15. What if football and sport doesn't start again this year? How many clubs will fold in that time period? Will they be able to start up again?
  16. Seems to me they should finish the season behind closed doors and broadcast as much as possible on the TV / Internet. Sure it will be surreal for the players involved, but the quality coaches should still be able to motivate the players to perform to the expected standard.
  17. Don't think so, are you panicking over a virus? I don't fear things that may happen, otherwise no one would ever leave their homes. Fact is, people get ill in thousands of situations and people often die - don't know why this is alarming so many people to the extent it is. The media and sporting authorities are making this virus out to be a doomsday scenario - ridiculous.
  18. That figure is miniscule, how many people have died from let's say old age in that time period? Clearly, I don't know the answer, not sure if such a thing is recorded - but it must be far higher.
  19. Bloody eck, the world's gone mad, all over a virus. Thought humans were made of sterner stuff! The mortality and illness rate doesn't even seem that bad - what is causing such panic and unrest?
  20. Am I the only person who couldn't give a crap about the virus? Honestly, people live and die, what's the big deal? Saw a guy today wearing a face mask at school to collect his kids, almost laughed my socks off!!
  21. As a species we're going to have to accept the existence of this virus and live with it, or cower and hide in fear. I don't see the point in stopping normal life and sporting events, it's going to ultimately spread around the world anyway - it's impossible to stop people from having contact with others and spreading the contagion.
  22. YES COME ON, HOPE THIS WILL BE AN UNFORGETTABLE FIGHT!
  23. Can't frikkin wait for this fight, hope it lasts at least 8 rounds, as I would not be shocked to see Wilder knock Tyson out in the first 3. I've heard every interview this week and Fury is definitely going to try to KO Wilder, which could prove to be a massive mistake. I believe Wilder is going to blast Tyson's head off of his shoulders. Hope they don't try to arrange a third fight - there's no need for them to be greedy and chase the purse again, and it will only stall the other super fights in the division. The winner has to fight against AJ - surely?
  24. Someone should try to get this shown on the Ashton Gate sports bar.
  25. I saw this on the BBC news just before going to bed last night and shed a tear at hearing his words on the plane, when he left a message to his dad saying he was scared. Will forever be such a terribly sad situation.
