  1. I'm sure we'll learn a lot from the recent poor patch to help the team massively for the rest of the season. Lee is still learning at this level, and every result will help his progression as a top coach. The next one is going to be tough, for obvious reasons, but there is still no reason we can't go to Reading and surprise them. If we do lose, then we have to start afresh at home to Ipswich and grab a few wins, restore confidence, keep the team nestled nicely in the top of the table and enjoy the rest of the campaign.
  2. Shows we are doing the right things and developing into a very good Championship team.
  3. Seen the highlights a few times today, and feel like we should've won this game. Apart from the defeat, our form and play seems pretty good at the moment. Just have to score some of our bloody chances!
  4. This was exactly the type of game I expected, a tough away game, settled by the odd goal. Very pleased we no longer lose these games by a heavy margin. And we stopped Donaldson scoring!!! As we all know, Reading will be tough, but looking ahead, we have to beat Ipswich at home, and I'm sure we will.
  5. We must beware the beast of Clayton Donaldson. The guy loves tearing us to shreds.
  6. What? Get with the picture, man. Today is a great day to be a Kev, and there's no way we'll lose this one 4-0!
  7. Ah, the City match thread returns, thank God. We have our Saturday back! Agree, today and next Saturday will be tough games, and a bloody good marker of how good we are against the clubs that will lurk ominously around the play off places. A point will be a good return, a win would be outstanding. I'm going for a 1-1 draw, with Kevin Abraham scoring our goal, assisted by Kevin Tomlin. COME ON YOU REDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  8. Good day to you, sir. Like others have said, another quality match-day thread, here's hoping you see an equally quality game today. I expect fireworks on the pitch to match the skyline around Ashton Gate. A cracking game with plenty of excitement. I wouldn't begrudge a City defeat, as long as we look dangerous and impress the folks watching at home. I'm also tipping a 1-1 draw, with the real chance someone will sneak a late winner. Tomlin to score for us. COME ON YOU REDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  9. Yep, seems amazing how quickly things change on the pitch in football. First couple of months and Tammy was there to finish almost everything, rebounds, stray back passes, the works. Now, we can't seem to give him these opportunities. Surely something will fall his way again soon?
  10. What magic will LJ work in the 2nd half? Would a point be enough to bring back from this game? We need to get Tammy back scoring again, before all of his confidence is shot.
  11. COME ON CITY! As per usual, can't wait to see the team for today. Will it revert back to the side that played Blackburn?
  12. Great read, as always is and always will be; love the memory you've shared of walking to the ground with your father. Wish I was going there today to see the exact same sight at the other side of the hill. City to win today, 2-1, with Tammy and Tomlin to both register. Hope the fantastic city fans who do travel can sing many renditions of 'One for the Bristol City'. COME ON YOU REDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  13. Great match day thread write up again, Hava. I'm not sure how it's escaped me all these years, but I've never heard of the war cup games, remarkable stuff. For all the terrible decisions made at Blackburn, it's also remarkable that they've not fallen already to League 2, which will surely be on the cards in their future. I am !00% behind the 3-1 city score today, and am tempted by that Skybet! COME ON YOU REDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Looking forwards to seeing the Lansdown Stand heaving from top to bottom.
  14. Thoughts are with you, Rich. Your father's life sounds like it was full of incredible moments and unforgettable experiences. I'm sure you will still write his memoirs and your father will be with you every step of the way. City to win tonight 2-0. COME ON YOU REDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  15. In the world of football fans starting match-day threads for their clubs, our Hava must be up there with the very best. I'd be in awe of LJ and the team if we could win 3 league games on the bounce, so such is the way with football, I'm tipping today to be a thrilling draw. 1-1 doesn't quite sound thrilling enough for me, so I reckon we'll draw 2 apiece. COME ON YOU REDSSSSSSSSS LJ is the future of football, and Ashton Gate is home to the Gods.
  16. What a sensational, perfect away performance. Certainly sounds like one of the finest away games I've not attended. A win like yesterday really whets the appetite for the games ahead. Bring on Leeds, let's keep the goals flowing!
  17. So, who is completing their double-header to Fulham today? You'd have to be very impressed if City could win twice (and 3 times on the bounce) at Fulham. I'm concerned that Fulham will step it up a bit today and switch the score line. But we do have the squad to bring back at least a point, and with the Championship's danger man on board, we are capable of winning again. All things considered, I can see a 1-1 draw. COME ON YOU REDSSSSSSSSSS
  18. I'd say it's virtually impossible to predict, especially when even calling the GK position now offers a genuine stumbling block.
  19. I just pray that Tom Ince doesn't wake up this morning with a hankering for some Bristol meat. Without checking back through their last few match reports, is he in their team at the moment? Now we are back on home soil, and returned from our Yorkshire goal-fests, I can see us repeating the magic of the Villa game, minus 1 goal. City to win 2-1. Future England king Tammy to score again, and Reid to notch the other. COME ON YOU REDSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.
  20. Thank God the international crap is over again, back to the proper stuff. I strongly believe we'll manage the game well and rough this one out, show some of our class, and sweep to a 3-1 win. UP THE CITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! COME ON YOU REDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
  21. I can't see us losing 3 league games in a row, we're too good for that, even against sides the calibre of Norwich, Newcastle and Villa. As much as I'll be screaming for a city win, I fancy a 1-1 draw. For me, important that JK quickly gets on the scoresheet, and today will be that day. We all know who'll score for the Villans. Come on you REDS.....
  22. Phil, you're a diehard Rovers fan with a (not so) secret crush on City. How many times have you been to the Gate in disguise to watch a game?
  23. With two big homes game coming up, you've really got to salute any City fan who went to the match tonight. Those of you at the game, are either mega rich with your own helicopters, or just absolutely crazy about seeing City play.
