  1. This. Especially with our latest accounts to take into consideration. Next summer will be crucial for us and will be interesting to see what we do with the ffp cycle starting over again.
  2. Arnt those responsibilities essentially mark Ashton’s in his current role? Just got a different job title.
  3. Hunt and weinmann reckon baker will be close to that.
  4. Don’t think he trusts him to do the “ugly” part of the game in a two. When we are under the cosh the tracking and the running. His height and strength as well. In a three he can get away with those parts of his game he isn’t as good at, as have another two in there who can do that.
  5. Don’t need to drop pack, play 4-3-3 like we did start of second half. Pack sitting and allowing Walsh and brownhill to push on. For me we shouldn’t have took brownhill off for Taylor, we were rinsing them 4-3-3 we changed back to 4-4-2 and allowed them back in the game a bit, although we did still have chances
  6. No rating for Walsh? Thought he was our best player tonight. A couple of lapses of concentration but his range of passing is great. His pass to put hunt in was class. Our biggest problem is we are just not clinical enough infront of goal at the moment. Either our crosses/pull backs are just hopeful rather than picking Simone out or out strikers just arnt reading them. The problem is prob a bit of both in reality
  7. Eliason wasn’t on the bench, that’s why he didn’t come on
  8. Bristol post just copied the interview from the Italian paper, they didn’t do the interview
  9. Think you will be right. He plays that role for rep. Ireland, if we go 4-3-3 With the signings of Watkins and weimann indicates to me we are going to go with a front three. They are both more wide forwards rather than wingers. just depends whether we will go 4-3-3 or 3-4-3. 3 at the back seems to becoming back into fashion again. might be reading too much into it but johnsons quote the other day when Webster signed was “he’s signed to play alongside our current centre backs”. Is that a hint at wright, Webster, baker.
  10. Like signing proven champ players like tomlin and o’neil You mean?
  11. Luckily his career isn’t going to be judged on a dead rubber against sheff Utd then!
  12. What is more beneficial today, the result, or giving a young player minutes against a good side in what is basically a friendly. Yes he made mistakes, but the coaching staff can now see areas of weakness in his game they can work on with him. If he takes on board the advice and works on these things to improve, its great for us and him in the long run.
  13. People hated old George, but at least he got stuff done. If he was still in charge the arena would be half way to being built, I expect.
