  1. Just listened to this again. Very interesting indeed. Thanks for that. I used to love how Steve used to say "Bristol City Football Club" all the time. He said it at least 6 times in this interview, plus 9 mentions of just "Bristol City". This compares with 0 and 5 in the latest, Bristol Sport-centred video. A shame.
  2. Very good interview about City's first 125 years but was it really necessary to talk about other clubs (basketball and rugby) so much on this occasion? On a positive note, great to hear Alan Dicks mentioned several times.
  3. OK. So, we have a surname. And, presumably, you met him as part of your ST duties, Blaggers.
  4. Everyone knows that Mark Ashton is the current chief exec at City. But how many of us can name his predecessor? No conferring, no Googling.
  5. I quite liked the commentary myself. It was a bit like the Old Grey Whistle Test from the 70s. Whispering Bob Harris, with Annie Nightingale adding a few thoughts a few feet away from the mike. Quite soothing.
  6. Another great interview. I really like the interviewer's style. As for Jon's voice, he seems to be lacking breath when he speaks. This can be corrected through breathing exercises. A vocal coach / singing teacher could help him sort that out.
  7. RIP Peter Godsiff. Condolences to his son, Ian and the rest of the family.
  8. On the subject of interest among builders for a project like this: construction companies may be shying away from residential projects because of volatile post-Brexit prices. However, if the (sixth?) richest man in the universe offers you a fixed fee, you might be tempted. Sorry to be a bit off-message with this one.

Afobe means hurry or bustle in Portuguese (imperative form of afobar). This is what the poster was referring to. I believe he/she deserves an apology.
  10. Brilliant interview. Good old Gary. Any chance of interviewing...Alan Dicks?
  11. Wonderful post, Nick. Very sorry for your loss. RIP Charlie James.
  12. The Irish parliament passed a law to say that he, and anyone else with a parent or grandparent born on the island of Ireland, is Irish. So he is.
