  1. I have just downloaded Now TV 24 hour sports membership. £11.99. This lets you stream all SKY sports channels for 24 hours. I just hope it works on the night!
  2. I hope Twine is not stringing us along.
  3. But I would take a small wager that you really look forward to every next game!!! Come on, admit it that you are one of us "happy clappers" at heart!
  4. Does anyone know if you need to go into Bet365 by a VPN?
  5. As a fan of nearly 60 years I always want to see progress. In terms of the club and the team. Most of us spend disproportionate amounts of our waking life thinking about City and it is far more rewarding when those thoughts are positive. Many on here seem to only see the worst in terms of the character and motivation of staff, players and the owners. Maybe that is because they view these things through the lens of their own character and personality. I love the way that the club has been developed since the 1960s it is totally unrecognisable from the old stadium and training facilities. The food is better and the players are now better coached and scientifically prepared. All the staff try their best and nobody seems to be a negative influence. Teams come and go but the current crop and squad development are incredibly exciting and I am really looking forward to next season to see how it all takes shape. Mind you I always look forward to the next season. Hopefully it will all continue to improve before my time is over and generations of fans in the future will have the enjoyment that I have had as a fan. We owe so much to all those who have tried as players, coaches, managers and owners to make a difference. Being a City fan has ups and downs but it is a lifestyle choice. Bloody wonderful!!
  6. Of course some will not make it because the Championship is a very demanding level. Most will have some kind of career in the game and the 10% to 15% who do make the grade will eventually make the academy profitable. Young players already playing regularly in men’s football at a level higher than Bath City are playing at a level that is more demanding than playing in our U21s. Young players who are exceptionally good at this level must be worthy of consideration because they are arguably already ahead of our academy players. Yes, I remain optimistic that this is a good place to find potential first team players - albeit they may need extra physical development and coaching.
  7. I agree with all that but also recognise that they are potentially exceptional players who may well surprise us to the upside. I really hope so.
  8. Facts are stubborn things. From goals scored and conceded to value of squad and average crowds - let alone parachute payments, they outgun up in most departments. Hopefully we can build to close the gap but our ambition has to be informed by the fact that there IS a gap whether we like it or not.
  9. These are both big leaps but we often send promising talent to places like Bath City (a lower level that the Irish or National leagues)to get experience of men's football. They have both flourished at that level and shown that they are top talents in their respective leagues. If they train regularly with our first team, they will have a chance to bridge the gap. Our coaches seem to know how to develop young players so I am pretty confident that these lads will, along with our new flying winger, hopefully be first team players for years to come.
  10. It looks like we will soon have a Dickie Bird aspect to the team.
  11. Sorry and all that but it does not cut the mustard until Robbored has confirmed that it is officially on the official site. We should all know this by now.
  12. It may well be done but it is not dusted until Robbored has confirmed that it is on the official site!
  13. I'm not sure if this helps. There is a huge list of countries from which to choose. I'm not sure if our club will stream to the same list. How To Follow: Bristol City v Watford - Watford FC
  14. Seems like a direct swap for Andi. If that is the case, we appear to get a better player that suits our team and will help develop other players. I expect we will be scouting other prospects for the summer, who might be just as good. In the meantime we have cash available for a striker and an outside chance of the pray offs. Always look on the bright side of life!!
  15. If this is true, then a few on here might have to reappraise their opinion of Brian Tinnion and the quality he brings to the recruitment team. Just like the quality he brought to the team when he played.
  16. If we sign him (probably a BIG IF) it will not be because of his stats but because LM reckons he knows how to play him within the context of our team. Any fee paid would have to be seen within the context of how the overall team would benefit and not just how we might coach some better stats from him.
  17. I wonder if LM thinks that fans are entertained by watching our team endlessly passing the ball along the back line. Now he has that strategy firmly established, maybe he could concentrate on movement and space creation in the midfield. Maybe after that he could "teach" the players how to pass to our lone forward being shepherded by two huge central defenders.
  18. Not playing to his strengths. Poor service and always outnumbered. The system almost seems to ignore him and leaves us at a disadvantage. Too rigid and too negative in my humble opinion.
  19. Oh NO!!! I hope he doesn't turn out to be a son of PULIS!
