From a very basic and quick key word search, only 46/72 seemed to mention the new deal, the end of domestic streaming on their Twitter.
-
It's interesting looking at other clubs, this is the 2nd or 3rd message by City about it.
Another BCFC, i.e. Birmingham, haven't made a single Tweet about it yet- not the April period or now...may do a quick analysis of the Championship clubs. Some have but some haven't yet.

I did think that, but season ticket sales were strong, so perhaps it won’t have the impact I feared.
Could be the following year when everyone has had a season of it. When exactly were full details released.

Friday 7.45/8pm Sat 12.00 and Sat 5pm Sun 12.00 and Mon 7.45/8pm They say there will be an agreement that there is a more equal spread of club picks, with Championship clubs live up to 24 times per season. Sky are turning football into a TV show rather than a live sport and the greed of club clubs wanting the money voted for this without consideration of the fans
It's not even that much momey considering all the inconvenience and upheaval plus potential hits to fanbases.

A lot to us of course but to clubs turning over £20-35m plus losing maybe £15-20m o4 above in underlying losses?
58 minutes ago, Sleepy1968 said:Yep. They voted for it.
Remember that when City claim that 'its all Sky's fault' when there's that one game that got moved in the promotion race so that you can't attend in March 25 .
Not convinced by the merits of the deal.
Pro- More money.
Con- Disruption to fans and or medium term, the attendances in the ground.

Swansea club specific out now. Mostly the same but wages and staff members slightly different on quick glance.

Hull owner is always good for a quote.
https://talksport.com/football/1859026/hull-owner-acun-ilicali-liam-rosenior-sacked/
Hull won't be able to spend the same amount as his prior jobs, Cooper is linked..surely Hull have burnt through a lot of headroom.

Its definitely misleading when the owner has said publicly that he's doubled the wage bill which would put them between us and WBA around 6th.
He doubled the wage bill from the point he took over to last year.
He declared in Summer 2022 that he had doubled it or trebled it even and that was from a very low base..from 2021-22 to 2022-23 year on year it nearly doubled.
I suspect it has gone up again but not doubled as that would be £45-46m??

I had a feeling it was PSGs year. Evidently not. The problem for a club like PSG is they have no competition domestically. Therefore do not ever experience real pressure.
With Mpabbe gone this summer. They won’t win it anytime soon.
Seem to recall Lille winning it a few years ago, Monaco in 2016-17.
Both sides got picked apart in the subsequent season/summer of course and Lens or someone ran PSG close last year.
I think PSG are somewhat overrated anyway. Ligue 1 lacks a stronger Lyon, Marseille, Monaco- every now and then maybe but in general.

Yeah agree - but using the 22/23 seasons squads after Hulls heavy investment this year to call it a bonkers sacking is misleading at best.
Oh for sure it will have shot up, Rosenior did claim a few months ago that their wage bill was middling though but definitely not 16th.
Ours at £35m was misleading on 2 levels, 1) That included the £9.1m in AGL costs and b) A 13th month. Club specific we were around £2m per month without checking and 1e months took it to £26m.
I reckon possibly prior to the changes of October and January our Bristol City FC wage bill is around £20m.

Tbh they are the most recent and available. We won't know 2023-24 figures for some while.

Looking at Twitter, Steve Cooper is perhaps a popular name among Hull fans.
Will Still mentioned by some.
Even one or two mention Graham Potter!? Does he have any ties there.
-

He also proclaimed more than once early in his reign that he is crazy and will do crazy things to try and get promoted- I expect the journey there so far under him has been quite exciting.

Maybe money isn't a worry for the owner
Seems not to be, he has made a number of proclamations since buying Hull..
*He would spend double if he could.
*He wants to compete with Parachute clubs financially but FFP doesn't allow owners to.
*He doesn't mind losing/throwing away money since he used to have very little.
However this all kicks in against their FFP limit and the Fixed Asset loophole is no more, among some others.

How are Hull doing with FFP compliance? @Mr Popodopolous
My own view fwiw was that their big crunch woukd be to 2025-26 as a) A low cost base was inherited b) Revenue would rise as excitement and tbh getting rid of the Allams kick in c) Selling Lewis-potter for £15-20m would minimise issues for next year and when that drops off there is a major hole.
That said their splurge in Janaury, Acun Ilicali the owner has seemed a man in a real hurry since Day One really. To say nothing of their income increasing by a few million in 2022-23 but wages by £11-12m?? Other costs probably up too.
Then there is the matter of, new owners take note- of losses fall between £xm and £ym in 3 years, clubs must by 31st March submit their next 2 years Financial Forecasts to the League. Strongly suspect Hull would now be caught by this. Preventing a breach before it happens, which in practice means forward looking monitoring.

Failed at a club who chucked money at promotion.
Did really well at Derby when they didn't have resources.
Think he's potentially a better "coach" than "manager"
Derby will have still had one of the bigger budgets at the level laat season, restricted due to their past disaster but level for level, up there for sure. He was possibly harshly sacked there.
Could have been a clash over budgets for this season as well as a perceived missing objective, probably varied factors at play.

Just Reading left who’ve extended.
Have you got the staff numbers for Swansea MrP?
That extension by Reading, I'm struggling to see what loophole they've used..
Ir wasn't reducing by a day whixh can extend by 3 months.
It wasn't extending the Reporting Period to say end of September which would align with end of June.
Clubs ans companies got an extra 3 months in the Covid years but that is long gone.
Staff numbers Dave. I assume that wheb the club specific Accounts appear that will shed more light.

Had a quick look at the Swansea Accounts, the Parent ie Swansea City Football 2002. Pulled our a few key points.
Their underlying loss was roughly in line with my expectations albeit I expected certain costs to fall more.
Such as the wage bill- this barely fell.
Amortisation continues to rise a bit.
I assume there was a sell on for Piroe although it says nil weirdly for the prior. Anyway sell on and remaining Book value for Piroe would partially explain it but I assumed it would be a bit higher than £9.89m.

The Forest appeal failed, I've not been following this but does this mean the 4 points are taken this season with 2 games to go? Or is this for next season?
In effect.
*When deduction/sanction handed down, it kicks in with immediate effect. Hence the-4 in mid March.
*Only post a successful Appeal can it be removed or amended. This Appeal seems to have been unsuccessful so the -4 which was put there in mid March remains as it was. No change to the points or table.

Does this affect their current league position?
Means they stay where they are.

Agreed. Freeish hit and they (Plus Everton case 2) perhaps lucky the PL didn't Appeal in pursuit of more points too- Football League went through a phase of Appealing although this is a landmark for the PL in the sense of a failed Appeal.

Quite right!
Agreed. Hopefully that means the PL Written Reasons will be out sometime today, struggling to see their grounds for Appeal tbh- they got 1/3 off for excellent cooperation- can't present new evidence.

A possible unbeaten treble at that?? Albeit Europa League rather than CL.
Ironic that after selling Bellingham and Haaland plus Sancho that said loaned back, that Borussia Dortmund reach a CL final.
