City's Defence!!
Lee Bowyer got released by Birmingham today. I think he could do a job for City. His wages probably be an issue but what are peoples faults? Ok dodgy character but he is a good footballer.
Robbored
I don't think he's quite the hothead he once once but he must be around 34 by now and probably have one maybe two season's left. Not someone I think Millen would want with his emphasis on developing youth next season.
glynriley
I'd rather go for Andy Reid to be honest. Suprised so many people were "poo-pooing" the idea on the Blackpool thread.

No thanks. Yes I would have Bowyer anyday. But why would he want to come to us?
Nibor
He's too old and expensive to be worth it even before you get down to the fact that he's a filthy cheating ****. No.

No. Most footballers are anyway, one way or another. This seems more realistic.
Nibor
Most footballers are anyway, one way or another. Bit of a generalisation and even if you accept that there's a matter of degree. This seems more realistic. Agree though I don't know anything about him as a player. Bowyer to Leeds again wouldn't shock either.
Monkeh
great player and I would have him but as a last resort, I'd rather we go for a younger player but LB and KP are in great condition for their age

Sorry, but I really dont get the Andy Reid thing. Hes a player on the slide who played 5 games for Blackpool last season. Hes clearly unfit. Mclovin BS14
I dont think millen wants journeymen in his squad, he wants young and hungry players. I don't know where he is atm but i always thought jonjo shelvey was a good player, he's young who is in the liverpool academy. Played for charlton on loan i believe, why not? westred1
I'd be more interested in the two defenders they have released in Jiranek and Parnaby!
Monkeh
nigel reo-coker has just been reliesed by Villa, I'd love to sign him but we wouldn't match his wages and he'd walk into most midtable prem sides

He was at Charlton as a youngster with Liverpool signing him for £1.7m (off the top of my head so may be wrong!) a couple of years back and he's mainly featured in their Europa Lge games and been on the bench a lot. Good player but can't see him coming down a division.

Red_Mat
I thought Jay Spearing was suppose to be the next Gerrard? They both are - you really don't think they're going to find another single player who can do all the work that Gerrard can, do you? It'll take at least the two of them... bristolcitysweden
We are hoping to get promoted in 3/4 years time and don't need players in their mid thirtees.
Mr Popodopolous
Could be useful for a season or 2 to add a bit of experience if we are moving towards youth. Has PL experience, CL experience- there are worse choices out there.

Not someone I think Millen would want with his emphasis on developing youth next season. Indeed, Lee Bowyer probably would only have one season left in him at Championship level . Lee Bowyer is/was a great footballer and definately worth his place in the current City side because - I'm sure - he'd do a great job for us. BCFC You Reds!
i love how people think he would come here. His wages are probably huge and he wouldnt want to. Hes been one of Birmingham's better players and will still do a job as a squad player in the prem, probably why QPR are interested
