good luck with it ... im all for safe standing... problem is it cant be used for football (yet)...... good news for the rugger fans at least

It'll be just like the EE now, The club will turn a blind eye to standing in these areas

Yes it won't legally be available for use but it'll be the same as it is now with fans standing all game

Possilbly... but surely if they want it accepted into the new stadium/stands they may want it done properly to begin with.....you just know some H&S prat will be watching closely to make sure its legally adhered to so that if its not they can create yet another stumbling block.... this is footy and Bristol remember.. i fully expect the greens to find some enviromental problem with rail seating at some point

At the weekend Nick Higgs actually said Rovers back Safe standing and only didnt include it in the UWE Plans as it is not allowed at present... said they will look at it as soon as legality of having it changes...

Not sure the club would get away with actively locking the seats up and making it a terraced section.

Standing occurs at all grounds around the country, but that would be a whole new can of worms

As Nailsea Cookie stated, it's only going to benefit the rugby fans in the short term, just makes our stadium more adept for cross sports being played on it

What happens if the ground gets built before the law changes?

Having the seats down but allow people to stand. The seats still leave room to stand even when they are down

Lots of football stadiums have standing areas which are used for standing, you don't have too far to go to experience it in Bristol...

Not sure what you mean ?

But are they actually "advertised / sold" as a standing area?

Or just accepted (like in the EE) that this is what will happen ?

So we are going to have a block of safe standing in the Atyeo Stand Block A

Does anyone think that our fans will be allowed to actually use this block for the rest of the season for the FA to assess if Safe Standing works safely in English football?

Or is this purely for a non-matchday demonstration?

I guess we will know more on Wednesday
