PHILINFRANCE
Northants now require another 89 at under 4 an over. Currently on 115/1 at 8.02 an over! Edited July 28, 2022 by PHILINFRANCE

I assume they realise they will not escape relegation without wins, so very much a case of shit or bust. Looking very much like bust now, although Northants have just lost their second wicket. Super
Couple more wickets and Glos could be in with a shout.
ralphindevon
well the table is looking a bit better for Somerset now. We’ve got Gloucestershire next up and could move out of the bottom 2 even in defeat. A win in that game could push us up a few places, especially if Gloucs get something in the next hour

They just got Luke Proctor with an extremely dodgy LBW decision, miles outside of the line.
Northern Red
If Northants win then that probably makes them safe and drags Kent and Yorkshire into it.
ralphindevon
Well if there are any school children out there that are fans of the red ball game, that’s it for you this year. Next games are all in September, all in midweek. Mad.

Lanterne Rouge
Somerset are playing a one day tour match v Cornwall at Truro today. It will be interesting to see what team we put out - a pointer to the RLC side? The weather doesn`t look too good at the moment mind. Northern Red
Interesting and welcome to see that Ben Stokes has come out in opposition to the plans to reduce the number of CC matches. That won't go down well with his bosses.

Lanterne Rouge
That is not a bad Somerset side so what`s the problem? Can`t get motivated for a competition that the ECB have as good as ensured is going to die on it`s arse due to them?

Northern Red
That Budinger for Notts is one to keep an eye on, hits the ball very hard and could go very far in the game if he learns to be a bit more selective about what he hits. I saw him in a 2nd XI T20 last summer where he smashed the Lancs attack all over Liverpool.

Within a month we’ve dished out the biggest margin T20 victory ever, then we’re on the wrong end of massive defeat. Since the end of April we’ve been pretty good at bouncing back after defeat, including a bounce back victory against Gloucestershire. Roll on Bristol on Sunday………..I hope! The 100, I had (thankfully) forgotten all about it and didn't even realise it had started until I saw a story this morning quoting Eoin Morgan saying last night's match between two London-based sides was 'as close to an international game as I've ever felt in a domestic game'. The over hype about the crappy 100 by Morgan , Knight , Pietersen and the rest of the puppets , is cringeworthy and embarrassing Selling your soul and morals for a few quid
