Free raincoat with each ST in the West Stand?

Recommended Posts

Just checked out the webcam for the stadium rebuild and noticed that a lot of the front rows of the new West Stand appear to be wet from the rain that we had today, perhaps the roof doesn't go as far forward as we might like?

If you checked today the pictures will be from yesterday when it was pretty windy and led to near horizontal rain at times.

People got soaked in the lower section when it was the Williams stand as well...you'd have to have a roof like Milan to keep everyone dry. And look at the state of that pitch...

Now the club desperately need to order some Bristol Sport umbrellas. This is appalling behaviour.

....at least everyone in the upper tier will be nice and dry in wet weather, shielded from much of the wind on windy days and on sunny days have the sun behind them so they won't need to wear shades or squint, .... Oops I forgot, ....oh well the upper rows of new empty seats will be nicely protected  anyway eh?

Oh, for the good old days, what a great stand that would be if only we could have traditional upper stand seating and lower terracing, - a magnificent modern day state of the art version of the old Grandstand and 'enclosure' .... sigh :(

We used to sit in Row A and always carried black bin bags with us.

Was that to put all the rubbish left in after the game?

A particular Swindon Town performance went in there one night.

Rain doesn't always fall in a straight line.

I used to love the sound of rain off the tin roof of the East end whilst the lower dolman got soaked;)

Ahhhh, so it was you laughing at me then! :dunno:
