Tammy's sig

Magic Man

Recommended Posts

So I broke the news to the kids the other day that Tammy only has a few game left playing for City.
We discussed the in's and out's of the loan market, followed by a barrage of questions along the lines of 'why can't we borrow Messi?" - they're six and eight.
Naturally they're gutted that their favourite player won't be here next season so I thought it would be nice to try and get Tammy to sign their shirt on Saturday - I don't think they care about the other player tbh.
When do the players normally arrive? Is it a case of waiting outside the players entrance with a pen? Any other tips?

I don't think you can access the players before the game. It's all gated off I think

Really? Gated off - seems a bit over the top.
Thanks though. I might try when they're warming up... but that means getting into the ground 45minutes before ko.

I'm not sure that's true. Tammy is usually really good with fans and especially with the kids. Top guy.

Ah right. So you don't think its gated. Any idea what sort of time I'd need to be there? What time do players normally get to the ground?

Guessing around 1pm. Sure he will come over when they are warming up though.

I've not been near the players entrance in a few games but I'm reasonably sure you'd be able to get Tammy to sign something if you're there at the right time. Either side of 1pm would be best advice though I'm not sure about Tammy's usual routine.

How long is that after the game?

At least 20 mins to half an hour after,  can be almost an hour after. Depends on if they have been kept in or not!

Tammy is great, but sometimes if there are too many people hanging around he does get escorted to his car by the security staff! I wouldn't bother beforethe game, most players just want to rush in and prepare for the game. It is quite well organised after the game with barriers.

Obviously the players are happier after a win but I've never seen them interact badly with youngsters, just the opposite. They are happy to take selfies etc. Hope you get your photos and signatures etc.

Edit : I doubt if you will see Lee, I've been there quite a while after games and I've never seen him, he must come out really late.

By the way, I'm waiting with someone usually, it's not me stalking the players and only every few months so I hope this info is still correct!

If only.

Perhaps Barca will let us borrow Neymar too... I've heard he's bored there...

You can go stand by the players entrance as they're coming in and get autographs. Make sure you're there by 1pm as they start arriving then. I took a friend down there a few weeks back as we wanted to get Korey to pose with her grandson who had he same name. He duly did. I've just checked the time I took the picture and it was just before 1pm, so maybe aim for just after 12:30.

The entrance is on the Atyeo side of the Lansdown Stand.

I've heard that Lee has been given a key to the secret tunnels - we needed somebody to check that they meet H&S standards, ready for next season.
