Thought they could start earlier when they’ve lost time.. but no..

They said the forecast was poor before the initial start time (weren't far off tbh) so starting early may not have worked, whereas the forecast for after the due close of play looks better so they're planning for added time at the end.

Think he will get to 600 today and after the test announce his retirement. Just think he won’t fancy bowling in India this winter.

I don't think he'd play away, I think he'd play next summer. Think we could see Craig Overton/Ollie Robinson coming in for the away tours.

Light meter coming out, can someone read the umpires the rules about play shall not be stopped merely because the light is not ideal? Its 12:20, allow England to bring on medium pacers and spinners if they want to. Its drizzling but don't think they'd have gone off if it wasn't dark too.

This has to be one of the worst pitches in recent years.  A typical dire offering at the toilet bowl.

Yep.......the pitch that was allocated to the second test where a ball wasn’t bowled was much more responsive to this one according to the Sky pundits

Incredible achievement. 600 test wickets the first seamer and only six deliveries more than spinner Murali

Truly remarkable.

And Jimmy would’ve got there sooner if it wasn’t for those four dollies being dropped. Proud moment.

There it is, against the best opposition player too.

From the Guardian OBO, shows the magnitude of his achievement:

We celebrate the Fab Four that won the Ashes in 2005, and quite right too. They took 748 Test wickets between them; Anderson, an unhappy understudy in that series, has 600 on his own. It’s a bonkers achievement.

Probably had several more if the ECB hadn’t tired to mess with his action early on

Was about to post the same, think of how many he could have had if Kevin Shine got to him early instead of Troy Cooley

Jason Roy out of the Pakistan T20s through injury. Maybe a chance for Banton to open?

Ordinarily I’d have said they’d go with Butler but obviously can’t so you’d think he’s the obvious pic.
