While not totally related the NFL has some rule that a game cannot be shown on TV unless it is sold out.

This is crazy as it does nothing to encourage clubs to develop their grounds. City would need gates of nearly 19k to avoid a fine if applied to the Championship. Easy if the team is playing well and it’s against a good team,  but not so easy if the team is on a bad run and at home to dull team who only bring a couple of hundred supporters for a cold midweek match in winter.

Sounds like a fascist dictatorship. Which of course Spain was. So all the politicians were 'retired' to running Spanish football.
