Mr Popodopolous
5 goals, 1 assist so far- he wasn't going to keep up a streak of a goal or assist every game- there's only a handful of players in World football who do that sort of thing! A lean spell was inevitable, he still is an asset to the team IMO- workrate/the ability to know when to press- similar to Reid in that aspect, technical ability, knowhow and versatility. Hopefully his next goal will spark another run.

Sturny
I remember reading on the Derby forum how he had a generous start much like he has done for us. Eventually his form dropped off (due to poor management most likely). Hope his fate isn't the same and he can keep up the good work

You can go through it as many times as you want. I have my opinion....you have yours. I'll meet you in the middle then ...and agree he is a striker. Just not a very good striker

Hopefully Johnson can now see that him and Diedhiou really does not work. We were much better as a team when he moved out wide. But he wasn't good there either. Hope he gets back to the player he was when he signed. A lot of his ‘pressing’ and ‘energy’ seems to be him chasing after his mis-control.
nickolas
I think we are now seeing the ‘real’ Weimann imo. Seen him a lot in recent years. Huff and puff. No quality. A decent enough Championship player but not what we need ( goals ) i dont think. But its ok because he ‘runs a lot’!
wendyredredrobin
He didn't seem his usual self tonight, did he?
Dullmoan Tone
Let's not forget: he has an eye for a pass better than most in the team he hasn't been here long to strike up a partnership - they rarely happen overnight if he was Salah, he would be wearing red shorts ie playing for Liverpool
Super
He was terrible tonight and thats being kind.
bristolcitysweden
Weimanns problem is that he is taking responsibility for our build up play. He understand our central midfield pairing is uncapable of any constructive offensive football and falls down to help them out. He understands the ball will otherwise be chopped long on Fam and you can as well forget about it. Our only hope for enjoyable football is that Patersons confidence can be boosted.
