Thought he caused more trouble on Wednesday when he came on than we did the whole game. Would love to see him given a free role in front of the midfield. He is intelligent finds space and causes problems, he is also different which is something we don't have.

Think we will see changes today.  Da silva in for Kelly. Eliasson will start not sure who for as owdowda looked knackered the other day.

Please lj  give matty a run of games in this position he can always come off if he fades.

He hadn’t trained at all before Brentford so I would say the chance of him starting is very unlikely to say the least

And thats the issue Bob. Too many otib posters don’t consider the ingredients any players requires to start a first team match.

We only play 1 striker as a striker in our current “identity”, and there is a huge focus on making our record signing (£5.3m Diedhiou) look like a record signing.

You could of course play Taylor wide right instead of Weimann or as a midfield-Cum-no10 and leave Paterson out, who has been playing better.

But I doubt there is “room at the inn” to play Taylor as our one striker, unless Diedhiou is injured.

It highlights our utter lack of striking options when people are calling for a player to start who is nowhere near the required level.

Yes, he runs around a lot and must be annoying to play against, but the quality is utterly lacking.

Indeed, wanting to start a 5 goals in 50 appearance striker means we really are scraping the barrel.

Doesn't matter how anyone puts it, that's a pretty tire goal ratio for a striker

The way you make Diedhiou look worth his fee is by playing someone close to him.

I've felt this season that the Diedhiou Weimann combination (when we've played it) hasn't worked because AW drifts too far away from FD.

Taylor is the perfect foil for him IMO.

You might be right, but then we have two exposed in midfield, because our wide-midfielders play so wide.  It’s a tough balance, a balance LJ hasn’t found.

In the small amount of time they played together last season in the cup I too thought they had a bit of a connection.

Totally agree with this. As a striker you are most definitely judged on the goals you score. Taylor does not score, in fact when was the last time he drew a save from an opposing keeper?

Taylor is in the same sort of mold as Wells of QPR. Wells wins you games, Taylor so say causes problems for opposing teams?

With respect, this could be said for practically everybody that puts on the City shirt right now.
