Alans first visit to The Valley was as a 14/15 year old lad (Just about to sign for West Ham) The Who managed by his brother were performing at the Valley in front of 88000 and the Curbishleys had a badge making machine installed in their small east End house and manufactured thousands and thousands of Who Badges Which Alan And co flogged at the concert !!!
