When we won the County League?

Yes, was still there then, made a couple of appearances for the 1st team that season but was mainly in the Ressies.

If any of these players were half decent they would not be heading to North Bristol

It's all relative. They wouldn't be half decent to us, but they're half decent for a club in the sags' position.

Im over the moon about the signings 22.

Ive been around long enought to suss out when a owner wants out.

When your marquee signing comes from eastleigh you are only going 1 way.

It's obvious that the Al Qadis want out tbh. But that doesn't inherently make their signings bad obviously. Davies is decent, Little is good, and reading a bit on Hare (got nothing else to do as I wait for either Kalas or DaSilva or hopefully both!) he seems decent. Former League 1 youngster who got ditched due to injuries but was in the Conference TOTS, it's like us signing a very promising player from League 2 really. Obviously I'm defending the Gas here but that's because I genuinely think their business so far has been very good all jokes aside and I don't really believe in mindless "if they were good they wouldn't be going to Rovers," because we all know Little is a good player, no matter his injury record or his time at Bolton. Obviously we'll blow them completely out of the water with the transfer window we're bound to have, but I've always been a believer in credit where credit's due, despite the intent of this forum obviously.

Of course we all know any decent signing they make usually ends up shit, but for now, give them credit.

We know Little WAS a good player but he was in a very good team and given a lot of freedom, personally I thought that defensively he wasn’t great, I know nothing about the non-league centre-half or the Coventry players who have decided for some reason that they want to play in the worst stadium in the football league

Seems their official Facebook Page posted a vid tonight under the title ‘Friday feeling, with our three latest recruits’ - no mention of Mark Little in the vid, he replied to their post with “Forgot me already is it? Sound!”

Wahey! Pissed off our Mark already!

Don’t want to piss off Litt’s that’s for sure, just ask Ryan Fredericks.

Noooo! I feel parentally protective of our Mark. If those c. ts aren't going to look after him then they don't deserve him and can't be trusted. Let's have him back in the fold where he is loved.

Though as BCFC11 mentions, the lad can look after himself to be fair.

Nope the word is marquee

noun
1. A large tent used for entertainment, exhibition, etc
2. Also called: marquise mainly US and Canadian
a canopy over the entrance to a theatre, hotel, etc
3. (modifier) mainly US and Canadian
celebrated or pre-eminent
a marquee player

I think you'll find it's either.

You don't know that.

Little definitely is, a TOTS Conference RB is, and have a Coventry mate who really rates Davies and speaks very highly of him. I think judging them on status and on paper alone they've all been good signings. Of course whether there'll turn out to be is a completely different case.

We all know he could definitely perform for them though. Bolton fans seem to speak pretty highly of him. Defensively he wasn't great you're right, but him and the non-league right back are definitely big step ups from the two RBs they had. One of which they released and the other they just sold back to Eastleigh.

By the way, please don't confuse me meaning good signings on paper and good signings in reality. Stefan Payne was a good signing on paper, so was Tom Nichols. And Clarke-Harris wasn't. We never know who'll perform for those lot, if anyone. So it could be these 3 completely flop and Van Stoppershot or whatever his name is is class. Who knows?

Absolutely nothing to do with the R*Vers, but who remembers the fallen Madonna with the big boobies from Allo Allo?

Well, she was on the Graham Norton show tonight

The RB sold to Eastleigh (Partington or Partridge or whatever) had a better offer from Eastleigh. He turned the sags down. I expect the facilities are much better there and I expect they know where they're training next season.

Sorry Slarti but it's definitely not. @CiderJar is correct: the phrase is "marquee signing"; a "marque" is a brand and pronounced the same as "mark".

Not going to argue, but I've seen it written in papers concerning signings with the single "E".

Fewers have sold a mighty 4000 season tickets for next season.

Get your running daps on, they really are coming for us.

Just to be clear, that's four thousand - not the fabled forty thousand they would get for a Wembley appearance.

Loyal and true.

How does that compare to their eventual total last year, Rob. Any idea?

Well, the other day fella in the pub said they were down 30% on last year, but to be honest, you can't take the word of a bloke in the pub as anything other than speculation.

Either way, they must be down on last year. They will probably shift a few more now they have made some signings, but I don't imagine many of the 'prowed and loyal' will be swayed by that.

Guess a crap season, shit football and no direct debit option has made some of them consider their life choices.

I would expect to see some aggressive Bristol Bears marketing up Gloucester Road as the season goes on.

Taking on board feedback from the fanbase, Season Tickets will go back on sale for another three week window.

Over 4,000 Season Tickets have been sold for the new season, with supporters now having an extended opportunity to buy for the new campaign, as well as taking advantage of the finance option offered by Premium Credit.

If you are a first-time Season Ticket holder or have switched your Season Ticket to a different section of the ground (or changed seat row/number), you will be issued with a new Season Ticket card.

Supporters who have renewed Season Tickets in the same area of the stadium will have the new season loaded on to their existing card.

Prices have been frozen from the last sales window for Season Tickets - with the various prices listed below.

STGENERALPRICES.jpg

The deadline for 2019/20 Season Tickets will be 5pm on Friday, 19th July (midnight online) – with the deadline for finance applications falling slightly earlier, on Friday, 12th July.

With the exception of the North, East, and North West Terrace (must be the pits of the place) every other Adult SeasonTicket of theirs is more expensive than mine at AG.

Yet we are the ones being fleeced over an Easter Egg? 😂😂

Just use your old season ticket card because the card reader wasn't working again last Saturday and some bloke just pressed a peddle to let people in

Thanks for that Henbury. I tried to phone the club today to ask about finance options, the number on the website isn't recognised by either my landline or mobile

"However, supporters can still purchase in person by visiting the club shop at the Memorial Stadium, or over the phone by calling our team on 9096648 option 1. "

You need to add 0117 to that number if calling from a mobile, so 0117 9096648.

Sorry if this is obvious, but it gets you through to the club.

The club really needs to include the area code in its communications. It’s 2019.

£2.17 per game for an under-11 to be subjected to 90 minutes of hoofing the ball up in the air whilst freezing to death under a tarpaulin is absolutely outrageous.

Child abuse.

Should be a top half Championship club at least with their MASSIVE fanbase according to the terrified, about to be molested, Sunderland muppets they cornered in the Sportsman pub.

I think it was around 6k last season.

They may get close to that as they're now apparently offering a credit facility - the renewers and early bird buyers had to pay up front apparently as the credit facility wasn't in place in time. Tinpot.

Losing 65k a week, over 16m in debt, and attendances taking a hit.

Homelessness beckons.....again.

A credit facility is certainly useful. I’ve used our option for mine & my sons ST’s this season, but surely if there isn’t that option, you just put them on a credit card - to the same effect.

I’m not sure suddenly introducing the option is going to have thousands of extra fans flocking to purchase.

4k must be a very concerning number for them..!

Someone suggested that Zebra Finance had withdrawn their season ticket credit plan for all EFL clubs, so on this occasion it's probably not the fault of the 15ers. Sadly!

I’m sure I read that it was closer to 5k.

Strangely for a club who constantly go on about how amazing and loyal their support is home and away they’re often reluctant to put actual figures out there.

Almost as if they know that the truth would make their claims look slightly foolish.

If it was around 6000 last time, and 4000 this time, then the bloke in the pub who said sales were down about 30% clearly wasn't too far wrong.

Working out that a drop from around 6k to around 4k is a 30% loss, doesn’t really make him “In The Know” it just means he’s not a complete moron..!
