Bristol Rovers Dustbin Thread

That rather blows what I was told out of the water then! Obviously more gas fuelled bulls**t. Quelle surprise.

Out of interest, would the Wonga loan be classed as 'associated costs' therefore paid by Sainsbury's if the gas win in court? If not, there must surely be a funding shortfall even if they did win?

I very much doubt it,

The reason for the loan isn't public knowledge but at a guess it was to cover running costs til the end of the season, there were a full time pro club at non-league level but still budgeting for league football,

The difference in terms of finances between the two leagues is massive, think prem and championship just on a much smaller scale

That makes perfect sense Monkeh but I thought the loan was taken in order to pay for the court case making it an associated cost? I'm probably wrong, as usual tbh.

50/50 I think to be honest,

The gas are known to be economical with the truth, and have a history about exsagarate get things to meet their own ends

[Mods please don't merge, not until it is all finished at least]

I have arrived at Courtroom 16 of the High Court and there was a handful of deluded Gasheads here as well (and even more locked outside!) so the atmosphere is building.

I will try and keep everyone updated as best I can as it goes on and then make what sense I can of the judgment when I get it.

Higgs not in court yet could be a bad sign

To be honest there's not really much point in him turning up anyway, regardless of the result... other than if he wanted a photo op on the doorstep... that photo at UWE could be more apt though if the decision goes one way though.
