Blimey. He has been outstanding all season for Bath. Still a bit surprised we have got him though!

Surprised as in you thought he’d go somewhere better?

Or surprised we think he’s good enough?

My mate's brother is Cundy's centre half partner (Jack Batten) and I've spoken to him about him before and he thinks he's a fantastic player. Bit of an odd signing given his age though.

Also spoke very highly of Semenyo, said he's going to the very top.

Surprised we think he is good enough. But then having seen all of Bath's highlights, highlights that go on a lot longer than what we get to see of our games, he is clearly a very good defender.

He is down as being 6 foot 2 and a half. And that is quite tall. But I'd say he looks a bit taller than that so that might be wrong. Very dominant Flint like centre half.

Late developer?  Thought Pro game passed him by?  Big chance?  Last chance?

Bit like Flint!

I don’t know his full story but was at Villa and Oxford as a youth. So will have had training at high levels. Seems like he has had 3 good seasons in a row now too. I think below the EFL there are quite a few talents who can play at various levels of the FL. I don’t mind the age so much especially as a CB.

Who knows we could be buying him to loan to GJ? It is a bit tongue and cheek but no doubting if we can buy players and they have a good season in the conference they can be worth a bit more later.

Yeah could well be. At 22 he is so young too so I guess really it shouldn't be that surprising a signing considering he's played so well.

As things stand we are working towards being able to pick a team of 11 centre backs.

A sure sign that Pulis is coming back to finish what he started. 😉

I wonder what Vyner and Taylor-Moore make of this news.

(Personally, I think neither will have a career playing centre half for City)

I think Vyner will for sure. 50/50 on Moore.

I used to be sure about Vyner too. Now I'm wondering if he'll compete with Hunt for the right back slot.

He will probably for now. But Johnson has always said he is a centre back and I'm sure if he keeps improving then he will be centre back in the future. He was outstanding in league one at centre back and he's now playing well in his less favoured position in the championship. Looks promising imo.

Hopefully that they are going to do everything in their power to improve & impress LJ. Also to grab their chance when it's given. To be fair to Taylor Moore, I think he was impressing last pre season & then got injured. COYR

Plenty of players make a late move into the pro ranks & do well..

I remember Swindon signing Bryan Wade from bath when he was 22/23 and working as a stonemason!...,managed to 'carve out a career for himself 😐 ..

They sometimes have that extra desire to make a real go if it too.

One of the five pillars , a rock in defence.

Saw a bit of him last season, seemed quite good but obviously playing against lower league clubs. Talk about ambition

Took a quick look at Wiki and it says he played 9 games for Bath this season- one for the future I presume?

Player over 40 games for them this season.

Ah, shouldn't always trust wiki! 😆 Never the most reliable...

Still, 6th division to Championship is a big leap!

Welcome, Rob Cundy!

It’s a bit of a punt but players from non-league can push on to any level. Welcome to the club!

One for the future (?) blokes 21 ...🤔

It does say he's joining the U23's and possibly going out on loan

6th division- he may have been playing very well but so was Eisa- albeit Eisa older- at a lower level. Not sure why he would come in first team ready but I hope to be pleasantly surprised- it's a big, big leap!

Played every game last season. 6 foot 4. I'm excited about this one. He looked absolutely class, and you can only defend what is up against you no matter what the level. He looks way ahead of that level and is only 21, so years of development ahead.

Obviously playing below his grade, whatever his development, will be sold at a profit. Usual good business BCFC. Crack on....

Presumably the ambition to be sustainable and not get into the financial mess of certain other Championship clubs. He is a pretty decent player at Level 6, and if he doesn’t quite make it, we won’t have lost much.
