Oh Louie louie
Yes, i agree robbo. In the 80s, they had a few world class players. Then a few decent ones in the 90s. Then, in the last 20 years, hardly any, i can think of robertson at liverpool, off the top off my head. Even when scotland, had daglish, souness, andy gray, hansen strachan nicol, in the same team, they still couldnt beat the likes of costa rica. However if playing in the English Prem, would Celtic qualify for the CL? Would Rangers be allocated a place in the Prem as well? They were 2nd for the last two years, but before then Aberdeen have been runners up.

Celtic and Rangers may want to play in English premier league but they would have to start in the lower league first. That is something both clubs would not consider. Jim Davey
Not quite sure why celtic would want to play in the English prem when they openly hate us so much.

It's all about money. Back in 2018 when the SPL signed a new TV deal it was for £160m over 5 years. The EFL is earning £595m over the same 5 year period. Premier league is over £1b. Oh Louie louie
Yes thats true sticks. At one point, the england top was the best selling shirt in glasgow, in the early 2000s. Says it all.
Oh Louie louie
You would see more celtic shirts, when rep of ireland play. And you do get a lot of rangers fans who follow england. So yes, thats a given.
