That's one of the most obvious red cards you can get, can't believe some are saying it shouldn't be.

I dislike the way VAR is used a lot of the time but you have to admit it's resulted in the correct decision.

If that was the other way around and it wasn't spotted we'd be absolutely fuming.

My annoyance is more with the rule really, deflection from thigh onto hand and not deliberate make it incredibly harsh, should have to be a deliberate hand ball to be red as the penalty is a big advantage from an unintentional action

It doesn't matter. He stopped a goal with his hand while moving it towards the ball.  It's about as straight forward of a decision I've ever seen with VAR tbh.

We’re blaming VAR, but didn’t they ask the ref to double check it and say check the thigh? So it was the ref that had the final decision. Unless it’s standard for refs to re watch the decision. Don’t watch a lot of Prem football now due to VAR

Real bright point for me from this game, looks compact and good on the ball. Confidence in terms of positioning and attacking will come but very pleased for him

Not sure if we were seeing what the ref was seeing, but only showing the angle that showed it hit his hand and no angles that might have showed it hit something else, doesn’t seem to be a triumph for objective and fact based decision making.

Never disliked a player playing for city as much as I dislike Nakhi. Appreciate he’s a lot better than some of the carp we have had down the years, but he really does not want to be here.
