  1. None that I know line the Lansdowns pockets, no.
  2. I used to love the My-itch Roundabout as a kid.
  3. Conjecture on your part, to be fair. He doesn't rate Manning. Nor do I. But I will be happy to be proved wrong. The reason that I won't give the club another penny of my money is the people that own it. My problem lies with three people above Manning. I think he is the same tbh.
  4. Lansdown plumped for Holden. Not Ashton. You have more chance of sprouting a second head than Lansdown appointing anyone of that calibre.
  5. I really am falling more out of love with football every week.
  6. We were shit and he said so We've had a few good games and he has said so. I don't see what is daft about that.
  7. "We need to take the emotion out of it" Now apparently we didn't listen. Same as the players don't listen when we have lost. Bullshit, bullshit, bullshit. I really want to have some belief in this guy, because I don't have any modicum of belief in anyone above him. But all I see and hear is a blagger.
  8. I'd love to be in the same room as him. I can assure you that I wouldn't be 'fawning all over him'. Quite the opposite.
  9. The club know the discontent. If sales were going well, they would be shouting it from the rooftops at the earliest opportunity. The silence speaks volumes.
  10. 'Legend' is a term far too easily used. Nonetheless, I have no particular problem with the term with reference to his playing days. I wouldn't use it myself in that context, but I can understand the exuberance that would lead to it. 'Club Legend' is not only short of the mark, but is absolutely laughable given his history post playing.
  11. And maybe, just maybe, we will get to the Premier League under the Lansdowns. Neither scenario the remotest bit likely.
  12. Well done lads. Good day's work by all accounts.
  13. I'll say it again. When I was at Ashton Gate in the Eighties, I used to dream of it looking somewhat like it does now. If only I had known how it would impinge on the atmosphere and matchday experience. Would I want the return of the AG of the Eighties? No. But sometimes.. ...yes.
  14. Aah... the old "legs have gone" statements, when the whole team are struggling. People on here saying that about Nahki a few weeks ago. Just because someone is over 30. Pathetic.
  15. Might be up for that. Zummerzet, not Gloz though.
  16. Well, guess what Steve? A lot of your football fans are bored ****less of football right now. S.U.A.F.O.
  17. Thanks for reminding me. No sell-on clause for Andy Cole. Probably the most knuckleheaded decision pre-Lansdowns. Plenty since, mind.
  18. Still not his place to be interfering. I honestly wish that he would just appoint himself as head coach of both the football and the rugby. That's what he wants to be.
