Loosey Boy
Hmmmm - hadn’t thought of it like that. In charge of training suggests it won’t be long before the replacement is announced

BanburyRed
If they are, then they can go as soon as the new manager is appointed, they've added absolutely nothing. Other than to the wage bill.
sh1t_ref_again
Think they will already ongoing and well into the process of appointing a new manager / head coach.

IAmNick
Well we sure as hell haven't played an actual game of football in about a month from what I've seen so probably doesn't mean anything!

REDOXO
I’m not sure they will be announcing a permanent manager, possibly a temporary which looks likely to be Tinman. However the wording is specific which tells you they won’t be picking the team for long if ever!
Superjack
Well they can't even do that, so...
Kid in the Riot
These two clowns need to go ASAP. Performances over the past 20 games have been dreadful. Absolute clueless shite. They were supposed to help Dean and they have both let him down badly.
Dr Balls
Given that Mark Ashton is such a football man and the most senior employee in the club, perhaps he’s picking the team for Saturday? He brought most of them to the club so he should know the players. And now that we know that the selection tombola wasn’t taken to the North East and still has pride of place at (Mark) Ashton Gate, then why wouldn’t he want to give it a spin and prove us all wrong?! Absolutely KId Never saw a chemistry there and the evidence from the 3 of them , on the pitch for months ,was astoundingly embarrassing Failed Club Coaches Who fell (As most do) into part time ‘England Age Group Coaches’ as they were out of work Bye , and good riddance

Mr Popodopolous
I was hopeful that like Cooper at Swansea, they might have attracted some high quality England youth loanees, within financial limits obvs. Sessegnon might have been but was injured- Brunt- less said about him the better and very much not the desirable signing...Williams did he work with one? Maybe that helped sway it.

Silvio Dante
This was the immediate nuance I picked up on in the statement last night as well. Every time a manager goes the statement is about “caretaker charge”. Not this time. Leads me to hope that we may have someone by the weekend. I’m guessing SL had already started progressing post Watford, and the abject limpness of Reading has meant he expedited Holdens removal. Either way, it can’t take six weeks and has to end in Simpson and Downing also leaving the club.

Red Somerset
With these two involved - it makes finding someone who will fit into the club structure even harder. Bristol Sport > Ashton > Downing & Simpson All seem like obstacles to managerial options who will want full control of direction, transfers, training etc.
