And…ummm…Max Branning.

Jesus, this definition of “celebrity” does some heavy lifting these days.

He's played in 'celebrity' football matches before. I guess he must be a reasonable standard to be able to take the field with a bunch of ex-pro's - you wouldn't want to be stood there like a lemon even though it's a charity game!

I wonder who else is going to take to the field.

It'll be like the film version of Porridge!

The weatherman from East Anglia television.

Lee Johnson?

Who goes to these things? Genuine question.

I'd love to watch ex City players, but don't really care about Max Branning being beaten by a bloke from Towie.

I still have a vague memory of being half cut before the Stoke AWS final and Gary Wilmot rushing onto a through ball from one of the cast of Brookside and netting in front of us.

Great Days.

Who's Max Branning and what league are Towie in?

I just would of thought the majority those interested in soaps and reality TV wouldn't be interested in football. And visa versa.

So it's a bizarre combination.

"Max Branning playing right back at Ashton Gate"

Idea for a program – Bat Flips and Nerds

Am I the only person on here who has absolutely no idea who Max Branning or Jake Wood are?

Eastenders' character.  I don't watch the programme and even I know that.

You're off the pub quiz team!   :disapointed2se:

Despite allowing Pele a Portugese name, they say he is from Trinidad in that film in order to explain why he might be in a POW camp in 1942 when Brazil was still neutral.

What Ossie Ardiles is doing there is anyone's guess?

Star turn of course has to be Russell Osman as "Doug Clure".

I like to think all of Russell Osmans team talks at Ashton were cajoling Marvin Harriott and Colin Loss “come on lads, we can win this”, while Rodney McAree escaped through the Bath.

On Escape To Victory, I’m torn between two favourite stories. The first is that John Wark didn’t know he’d been dubbed until he sat in the cinema, apparently he was just too Scottish.

However, the second and better is that Stallone overfancied himself as a footballer, so challenged Pele - yes, Pele - to try and beat him from the spot, believing that he was a better keeper than Pele was goal scorer.

Pele took five penalties. Stallone got near to one and dislocated his finger.
