although it seemed obvious he did it,the other bloke couldnt say it was him which cant have helped much.  dont the old bill have video evidence of the next one?

if he gets away with both, he will need a new name.

Nobody actually saw him do it. Witnesses of him running to and from the scene wasn't enough to prove he did it unfortunately.

Can't believe he got off, but does sound like a lack of evidence.  Were any of the jurors bribed or threatened?

I wonder why the 11th jurer was missing - and the 12th for that matter.  Were they the ones that didn't believe his lies?
