Jerseybean
In a radical break with tradition I’m kicking this off earlier than usual. The reason being I have contrived to create a rather ridiculous teaser which will likely lead to controversy and in order to maximise the fall out a bit of time is needed! So here goes….how many girls and boys christian names (including abbreviations) can you list which appear in the name of English league teams? I’m saying at least 39 (they will be listed when the proper MDT appears on Saturday morning) but no doubt there will be other contributions and I anticipate a few impressive disputes around this. Go for it! To get the ball rolling: 1 Peterborough 2 Quote Link to comment

cityexile
Oldham Athletic. Hamat: Hamat is a Muslim Boy Name. Hamat name meaning is Sweet. It has multiple Islamic meaning. Surprised no one picked this one off earlier…unlike Stevenage, which was much more tricky. Scunthorpe…an abbreviation for a gas head in there somewhere… Edited April 7, 2022 by cityexile 1 4 Quote Link to comment
