TonyTonyTony
Anyone following this? Breakaway golf tour from PGA/European tours, backed with Saudi Money. Slightly different format, and the money offered to players is huge. Some big names have joined (Mickleson, Johnson, Westwood etc) - mostly players in the September of their careers taking the paycheck. Some of their interviews are painful - just admit you are doing it for the money ffs. Good for golf or not? Arguably PGA has too much power - does the game need a shake up ? Ziderarmy
Rumours that Tiger has turned down a billion dollars to join. Mickleson pretty much confirmed he’s pocketed 200 million dollars. It’s silly money. The interviews are cringeworthy. Sad that the likes of Westwood and Poulter will now more than likely never appear in another Ryder Cup as player or captain / vice captain.

Club and Country
How deep actually are the saudis pockets!? the money being chucked around is mental and there is no way it can pay back at this moment in time, or indeed anytime in near future? interesting now it’s close to starting more and more having there heads turned after initially staying away

Kid in the Riot
All LIV players have just been kicked off the PGA Tour, though most had resigned their membership anyway... I've mostly lost interest in golf post-Tiger years to be honest.
Northern Red
Delighted for that **** Mickelson, after he spent yesterday's press conference arrogantly stating that he's a life member of the PGA and, as such, should be allowed to do as he pleases. TonyTonyTony
I know Mcllroy and Woods have turned the money down, but its staggering. Dechembau's apparent net worth was 10-15 M USD, and they have allegedly offered him 100 M. Micklesons net worth around 300 M, and they offered him 200M. These are also just appearance fees - not even counting prize money. Bloody mental
