OK we look comfortable but FFS Bolton are shit they look like a pub side, the tippy tappy getting nowhere passing looks pretty but when we get into good forward positions the final ball, crossing, corners, free kicks and especially our long balls need to radically improve they are woeful.
If we lose this the team should be ashamed of themselves.
Pub side correct, they can barely pass to each other. Ergo, we lose from a set piece.

Can only echo what's been said, we're in almost total control but absolutely no goal threat. Need Eisa on. Weimann is working his nuts off but no support at all.
because the support is supposed to be the invisible man... i.e., Paterson.

Dominating the game really but as others have said, creating nothing. Kelly has done well and we've won loads of cheap free kicks, but creating little. Reckon we could see Eliassion pushing up to be more advanced, and Paterson needs to find his spark back or be replaced I think. Nothing that much to worry about but it will be 2 points dropped if we don't win this one.
Yes, Paterson doing zip.

Wiemann running his socks off, but just doesn't have support. Need Pato off at HT and either Eisa up front with him or bring Smith on and push Josh forward. We have dominated possession but zero shots on target tell the story.
Paterson a spectator thus far.

Dowie's commentary on sky seems to suggest that the only good thing so far is that Kelly has had a good start. Was hoping that City would come out firing against Bolton, especially after last season.
don't know what he's watching, we've been neat and quick so far.

Paterson behind Weimann wouldn't be so bad but if we are playing them both as strikers...
well I thought 4-4-1-1 last week but it did not unfold that way. I'm not sure Paterson knows where he's supposed to be most of the time. Hopefully he'll get his mojo back today.

Get a feeling it will be a draw...
Looks like 4-4-1-1 with Paterson behind Weimann? Or perhaps it's a 4-2-3-1. Kelly starting, heard Dasilva had a bit of a knock- which is why he isn't even on the bench.
According to a couple of sites, Bolton seem to be setting up in a 4-3-3. Probably not an offensive 4-3-3 but a 4-3-3 all the same- suppose formations and setups are fluid however. Will be interesting to see how the midfield battle goes, dunno if it'll put us at a disadvantage.
I think we are 4-4-2 which could mean midfield an issue again as it was last week.

the amount of stupid free kicks we give around the box simply has to be checked.

Crying out for a good right back and right winger. Paterson flattered to deceive so far. Freeman not good enough. O'Dowda too raw.
Like the rest of the team though and prefer Tomlin wide
I wouldn't say I prefer Tomlin wide, but I can see the logic. He's been dropping far too deep as a no. (often through frustration - similar to Rooney) 10 thereby leaving no link to Tammy. Hopefully Reid is that link today. The link to Tammy or whoever up top is very, very key.
