  1. Probably it wouldn't influence the result but...I'd bring in Vyner for Martin and move Weimann upfront. At least it wouk make more sense.
  2. No surpirise, unfortunately. The three points taken at Blackburn could prove to be really important...
  3. Same doubt. ? Strange way of kicking the ball but...really effective hehe.
  4. Not surprised at all. If Nigel gave him more minutes.... Pleased to read that Cundy played well.
  5. Good opportunity for Cundy, shame that Wells is still excluded. Pessimistic vibes. Anyway...COYR!!
  6. Phew! I can see them conceding a late goal against us too...after having scored two or three. ?
  7. We never get stonewall penalties, other teams often get them and sometimes soft/invented ones too. Obviously this disadvantage has an impact on results and league table... ? Come On Fulham, come on! ?
  8. Given our luck with cup draws, our only chance to play against Toffees is their relegation. ?
  9. Both Reading and Barnsley have winnable games in hand (H vs Stoke and Blackpool, both to be played next month), and I would not be surprised to see us beaten at Barnsley...so virtually these two teams could be respectively -8 and -10 from us. IMO, we need to beat at least one team (maybe one of those below/near us, like Peterborough or Hull?) and get two/three draws. Hopefully the return of some players (James, Tanner, Atkinson, others) can give us a boost.
  10. Maybe Derby and Posh are not a problem, but I don't feel the same about Reading and Barnsley at the moment...
  11. No wins for Barnsley & Posh, and Inter wins at Anfield (not enough to qualify but still a great result): satisfied with this football night. ?
  12. A predictable flop. That being said, I guess that our financial problems justified - at least partially - the choice of confirming him: keeping Hunt would have surely made more sense, in many ways, but probably he would have cost us too much (or forced us to sell/release another decent player)...and the same could be said about the idea of signing a new player. About the mentality/group culture aspect...it's difficult to know if he had an influence or not.
  13. Really disappointed about today's performance and result. Only positive is...that some teams below us lost too. Not optimistic at all about our next games.
  14. I didn't expect such a woeful start. Really bad, City! I only hope that Barnsley don't win today, because if they grow in confidence and we continue losing... ?
  15. Injury crisis? It sounds familiar... They are facing a relegation battle like we made last season, mainly for the same cause: that's why I don't wish them to go down.
  16. Having Baker injured, Atkinson injured, Tanner injured, Dasilva not playing on his preferred side and a midfield without experienced players (both King and James out) partly justifies our defensive frailty. Tactics are also an element to consider, because a more attacking set-up can bring also more defensive exposure. That being said, some errors could have been avoided here and there, and I agree about Simpson. However, based on recent performances, I also think that we collected less points than we deserved (and refereeings didn't help).
  17. Losing against Coventry was disappointing, but a loss today is acceptable. Glad to have James back, but an injury to Kalas would be a huge blow.
  18. If the chairman, Gould and co. will remain silent about all the damage done to the team, maybe never: doing nothing means happily accepting the nasty behaviour that most referees are showing in our matches. That being said, defensive errors will be an aspect to consider during the next transfer window.
  19. After referees. No penalty given - as usual - and then... Anyway, shame about the result.
