  1. I didn't know him before reading some info on here, but I honestly find this appointment underwhelming, mainly for the lack of experience at Championship & PL level: I would have preferred another experienced manager  or a foreign option.

He'll probably change something on technical & tactical levels (for the better or worse, we'll see), but I hope that the positive work done by Pearson won't get "lost" and he'll be able to maintain the cohesion of the group high.

Anyway, I'll support him at 100%. Good luck, LM!

  2. I didn't see him as a super manager as some on here, but he surely had a positive impact on our club/team, overall he did a good job and should have been supported more by the board.

I liked him and I'm gutted to see him leave at this stage. Thanks Nige and good luck.

What I wonder - and this might be nonsense - is whether the number of injuries we’re getting is the direct result of the number of injuries we have. By which I mean that the lack of options means we can’t rotate and rest players who are either tired or carrying minor knocks and that is then leading to those players developing injuries which result in them missing games.

Yeah, it's a vicious circle, but all starts with an anomalous number of injuries at the same time. If we had the same number of injuries but "shared" in different moments of the season, the impact would be different both on the single player (less chance of recurring injuries) and the team, not to mention results.

  4. I still think it's mainly bad luck: there are other teams who play with a high intensity style, other teams who have old/injury-prone players in the squad or a relatively small number of players...yet nobody reaches our number of injuries so frequently, season after season.

I get some of the criticism about SL (Scott money not invested), but honesly I don't think that having 2 more players would have changed much of our situation (what if they got injured too?). Frustrating, cruelly undeserved, but we have to cope again with this huge problem.  A deep analysis of training regime etc.  should be done, but I'm not sure it would give us many answers.

At this point, should we take a look at the free agents market, at least for a defender, or should we resist until some players are back/until January comes? Wage bill an issue or maybe not so much?

  5. Worried about this game's outcome and the possible effects on the following ones: assuming that the number of injuries won't decrease... optimistically I think we could lose narrowly today and draw the next two, pessimistically I wouldn't be surprised by a losing streak.

Surely a hard time for this group of players and the manager, and they deserve a lot of support. COYR!
