  1. I've said it before, coaches win the matches, players lose them in the world of Liam Manning. We've picked up 9 points from our last 12 league matches, scoring only 11 goals. He's averaging a point a game since taking over, having lost over half of the matches he's been in charge for. It's been declining for months and is only going one way. His win percentage is 28%. To provide some context here, Holden's was 44%!
  2. I missed that....And we had substitution windows open to us as well! ffs
  3. But it's an atypical performance. Our best performances tend to be in this type of game where we're almost on a hiding to nothing. The typical performance and set up is not what was seen tonight for much of the game from what I hear (was out for a birthday meal, so only saw the last 20). I'm basing my views on his tenure rather than one match I didn't really see. From what I did see, however, he once again showed a massive naivety in terms of game management. Cam didn't look fit and was being torn apart by Burns. We had two throw-ins about 10 yards inside their half in injury time when we should be full throttle trying to salvage something and within seconds it's down by our touchline.
  4. Look, I'm sorry Liam, but this tactic won't work(much like many of your other ones!). Yes, a large part of the blame lies further up the chain, but this doesn't change the fact the team are repeatedly given tactics that simply don't work and don't entertain. Being angry with the board doesn't absolve Captain Mainwaring from blame as well.
  5. Yes...no signs at all. I honestly don't think "regardless of how we played tactically and similarities to NPs" holds any weight in the argument as they are atypical set ups to how Manning wants to play. They are the outliers and in spite of those being our best performances of the season he doesn't keep the system that produced them. So no, I don't see those as progress to be honest. Progress would be sending out the team to play that way every week as it shows that he knows how to play to the strengths of the players involved. As it is, he doesn't seem to want that.
  6. Genuinely not seeing this. Performances have regressed, players have regressed, results have regressed and league position has regressed. I see zero signs of any sort of progress.
  7. If we beat Ipswich it'll be all down to the coaching staff. If we lose it'll be the players. Ergo - nothing will change.
  8. It's difficult to create an atmosphere when you're asleep......
  9. He's got a 3.5 year contract on the highest salary he's ever had - and on this showing is ever likely to have....there is absolutely no chance of him walking.
  10. I kept thinking my stream was buffering too. But then I realised that I was sat inside the ground and that's just the speed at which Manning likes the ball to be moved around.
  11. Logic would dictate that if the full price ST number were to fall, then the kids number would also fall. I don't agree with the concept that these figures are skewed by the cheaper tickets as that's securing full priced STH's of the future, so is vitally important.
  12. His ethos does seem to be that the coaching staff win games but the players lose them. What I thought was noticeable today was the number of players sniping at each other. It's abundantly clear that the dressing room harmony that it seemed we had is well and truly gone.
  13. I'm glad you're convinced of that. As I see it right now, we're a team that struggles to create and are easy to counter. It's very easy to feel safe when in actual fact the floor is creaking below you. Many more performances like the majority of matches since he took over and we find ourselves in a relegation battle with momentum heading the wrong way. In fairness, and I don't agree with much of what WSM says, he's got a point. Possibly unfortunate editing by the media team but some of the expressions are like.....
  14. Jan Sorenson also passed away today I see. It's like a domino from that era...
  15. They do sell them like that in our club shop.... But as it's traditional with our skip we never have any stock in(g)....
  16. Now where have I heard this before......?
  17. This is wholly untrue. I asked a gashead mate whether there was any truth to the incest rumours and he categorically denied it. He should know too as apparently his uncle dad is pretty tuned in.
  18. Wouldn't that kinda include players and management? We discuss them, so why not people putting themselves forward to offer a very public opinion?
  19. I had to do this for the Southampton match as I was away with work. It was a quick call to supporters services and I had the tickets emailed to me to forward on within 5 mins. It was really very easy to do!
  20. I know they're desperate to fund the BCFC Retirement Home, but trying to sign 40 year old Jamal Campbell-Ryce is surely going a step too far!
  21. Weird assed hashtag as well. #EveryMoment
  22. They are, but they're only removing the bottom half of the pillars. They're not stupid enough to remove the whole thing, that'd be ludicrous....
  23. I don't think Cornick was booked for the pen. On Sky they seemed to think it was Williams for his protests that was booked. As for appealing bookings, this can only be done in the case of mistaken identity....I mean the ref did mistakenly identify Zak as someone who made any sort of contact with a player, but no, it can't be appealed on the basis of the refs incompetence. I think I'm right in thinking that the FA could decide to rescind the card without appeal if they decide they want to punish him for diving, but it's unlikely that would happen for an incident outside of the box. Shite position to hold, but there you go.
  24. But...but...but.... you can't keep him and Williams. The two just cannot be on the pitch at the same time.... according to some! And those "some" should just re-watch last night back and if they still believe it, then they should give up watching football altogether..
  25. That's just being facetious... There was a reason the phrase was in inverted commas, as well you know!
