  1. Not to us 19 points behind with 12 games to go after tonight.

Being a City fan I look at all the possibilities. My optimistic side says we will be fine. My realistic side looks at the size of our squad coming to the run in of the end of the season. Looking at getting at least automatic promotion, so 1st or 2nd, depending on Mk dons, Preston. Forget Swindle, they have bottled it. So, looking at the size of the Sheff Utd squad they could keep pushing until the end of the season and there is always one team that suddenly starts pushing up the table??

    Just saying like.

  2. Would you say that expecting to be at least slightly competitive in a league in which we have one of the biggest budgets is looking for a miracle? This is no transition period - we have a squad of players who are utter garbage and produce nothing but week after week of dross performances.

Yes I would say that  a club with our budget should be competitive, but just because you have a budget does not mean you will be. Any team that has had the results that we have had must be in 'transition' as if this is the finished article then yes we are doomed.

To transform a club it takes weeks, months even years, and during that transition there will be low points.

I will support the club through thick and thin and not just when we have a wembley moment (which is a sticking point for me as I detest the 'glory'; hunters who show up for the 'special' games.

To say the squad are garbage is strange as there are players who have put a shift in and have entertained, so to make a sweeping statement like that is quite odd. :gaah:

Oh, perhaps we could just increase the budget and miracuosly buy all of the Man City sqaud, job done??

  3. Whilst fustrating it does take time to transform a side and it is not a quick fix. One thing I feel is that we cannot keeep looking for the 'miracle' as in a new manager etc etc.

My observations is that we know what fraialties we have and the manager is well aware of them.

All we can do is support him during this transition and give it time. How it ends nobody knows but listening to Cotts at least he is trying adf not just droning and sucking in air.

There are players at the club who regularly put in a shift for the club and in my opinion it is too early to make a judgement on any new siginings.
