Another interesting and thought provoking pre match thread. Well done Havanatopia.
Lived in Derby for 3 years in the 70's and still visit family in the area. As Hav' says it's a football town through and through . Even old ladies in the street know the team and could name most of the players.. The local paper is full of football and I believe they still produce a football special similar to the old Green Un and Pink Un which sadly disappeared from Bristol many years ago. The East Midlands people love their football and even named the A52 between Derby and Nottingham the "Brian Clough Way"
.Love to see a couple of major Roads names after our best players . Changing the Portway to "The Atyeo Way" would be a good start!
Been working here for the last 5 years and totally agree. Walking round the city centre all you tend to see are Derby shirts none of these fake plastics in there Arse/manure rubbish.

Seems whichever 'Bristol' team is playing at home BBC Radio Bristol will be broadcasting those games on DAB... Away teams matches on FM.
(reorganised due to demise of MW)
That's what I thought until I missed a home game put the radio on and we were on mw with the sags on DAB . It's sags on DAB no matter what and we get fm for away and mw for home. They even put the rugby on dab instead of us

Do u think it will be like that one a few years ago , I think it was Notts county and they were gonna get Sven in etc and it turned out the new owner didn't have to ha'pennys to rub together. My own opinion is that I couldn't care less as I will never intend to go see /support them no matter what ... Always CTID..!! COYR

commentator & pundit annoying, usual bias to the prem team.

PS burn has to score there
I thought that this is the most complimentary any commentators I have heard talk about us. Certainly appreciate that we ain't a walk over and giving it a right go.

Weren't gonna go today as I had just had enough and was going to enjoy a day where I am home and it's not raining!! After the last couple of days though I have decided to go and get behind the team and show my support. COYRs

Are we playing 3-5-2 or has SC made a change, does anyone know

Another great post Havana .. I really do fear for us today though and hope the best we could do is a draw. If our heads drop like at Derby on Tuesday I can see a heavy defeat we just got to not let them score early on in the game and we may hang on. Just all us going today have really got to get behind them today and give good vocal support and intimidating for the R's.

A simple summary... We can't defend and we can't score..!!
How many chances did we have first half and we didn't even hit the target let alone work the keeper. Every team apart from MK /florist at the gate has punished us by taking there chances when we have been the dominant side.

Absolutely Sir ..!! Your wise words are always such a good read and would be really missed.
Keep up the good work.

Oh well.... It could be worse look at QPR who think they can buy the league

Just a heads up that a mobile speed camera is on the portway just past Bristol manor farm ground as you head towards the gate.
