  1. yep... spot on ... will take some u turn from the JR judge to give them much chance so far BCC Planning said yes build it, judge pickles at the high court said yep nowt wrong ... carry on and build.... then Judge higgingbottom said ill take a look at this for JR... then took less than 2 mins to throw said JR out and say yep carry on and build it now they are hoping he will change his mind (7days maximum wait & not a chance , just read the full JR , he all but called TRASH timewasters) so there final chance will be an appeal to the court of appeal who have up to 21days to decide ..IF they so no then its all over
  2. ITs delays that cost rovers as such not anymore Lawyers or legal bills this is nimbys v's the courts now ... if they are turned down at the court of appeal thats its . As as soon as 2 courts ( high court and court of appeal) turn it down legally you cant appeal anymore (according to Trash's own laywers website) The judge from the JR could turn it down on Friday or up to 7 days ... then it could be as little as 14 days after that before its all over .... Big IFS but none of this was unexpected ( by me anyway) NIMBYS do this its how they work ... but they rarely win
  3. agree to a point... they can only take the money thats in the pot though...... the big question is how much is in the pot and who put it in there ... my money is on Co-Op (big mentions in the JR ) Tesco (in their interest) and possibly Bristol Uni ( high up employee started a petition for the Memorial) and it effects them if UWE get better facilities
  4. delaying the enevitable... as nimbys do... make no mistake Sainsburys and the UWE are happening The appeal is to the same judge... do u think he will say oh yeah i got it wrong... he will chuck it out then its 14 days to appeal to the court of appeal and then they will throw it out even if it goes that far! building work wasnt due to start till 1st week of june at best... prep work /ground clearence has already started. Im more worried about winning a game or 2 to be honest! The greens have pulled out ... leaving 4 local people and some cash from co op or tesco
  5. For every SL there are clubs competing on a more realistic level...... Millwall, Yeovil, Barnsley, Donny, Bournemouth in championship, are all clubs that donr spend big as such and have crowds that arent that high Its no doubt hard with out the spending power but FFP will help a little especially when you can have income from non football stuff at the stadium
  6. Buckingham group ( the contractors Rovers) are using are on site today...
  7. exactly we are all tennants to the shareholders/owners
  8. Steady on KITR... talking truths like that will upset some the capacity is 'sensible' and the opportunity to increase cheaply doesn't hurt either Still wont believe it till im stood in it mind!
  9. a lot of reference to co op in the JR hearing from TRASH laywers. (ironic seeing as the greens are meant to be anti supermarket chain).. suggestions/assumptions they were involved?
  10. they can appeal within 7 days ... must stump up a shed load of cash for that though and cant see co-op funding this one... the fat lady is clearing her throat for a good old song
  11. One of the main bits of TRASH's claim was about a 12% Loss of custom for Co OP Ltd .... so much for caring about the independent traders but possibly a big clue as to where the funding has come from so far... it sounded like a ... and now a word from our sponsors...
  12. 1 of the directors of TRASH has resigned.... rumour that the company is heading for Bankruptcy... she jumped ship rather than have director of a Bankrupt company on her record Thoughts are that TRASH is no longer a "working" company ... The JR still goes ahead but it looks like TRASH have all but conceded... All rumours mind you! expect that one of the directors has resigned
  13. TBF we could cut back on things ....like the number of seats for now.... by about 14000!!
  14. your normally spot on with this stuff tbf KITR.... i know that Rovers chair/board are indeed very confident... this is the first time you seem to have posted a feeling it may go the way of Sainsburys rather than TRASH... The interesting stuff starts then .... like how the blooming heck its being funded !! a interesting change of wording from Nick Higgs last week... he did a Q & A pre game last week and stated the UWE stadium would be debt free.....(ie not adding to club debt).. previiously the statement was that the building of UWE Stadium would leave the club debt free.... big difference in those 2 things!!
  15. cant help but feel the OB have given this as much media as possible so as to make them not look quite so bad for the shamefull job they did on the day, remember them announcing the zero tolerence that would be in place on the day !! yet they let people do what they want and failed to control crowds all day long. yes people have to brought to justice for wrong doings but what about a report into the way the game was policed ? If the police had done therre job properly on the day half of the problems wouldnt have occured!, the 'yellow shirt' bloke was the ultimate example, twice on the pitch for both goals and was allowed to remain in the stadium to appear on the pitch again at the end!
