  1. I liked that He asked about plan b…. Manning had no coherent answer… kept talking about working hard
  2. Have we been better defensively? Before this abysmal run, when results were looking better, I seem to remember feeling Max O’Leary being our best and most heavily employed player.
  3. Oh was that him!!! Brilliant. I reckon Andy sensed blood again on Saturday!! Seriously, I’d like to think Radio Bristol would keep him on our games for a while. He’s just the man for what are becoming turbulent times.
  4. Great performance @Davefevs Special mention for Andy Howard, as others have said, well done on that post-match interview. Actually asking Manning some challenging questions. Best since 20man left.
  5. I was listening to Radio 5 Live yesterday as I was walking the dog, the Burnley Bournemouth game was on and Clinton Morrison stated “Burnley are playing as if following a manual”. I got exactly what he meant and it’s exactly what we’ve become under Manning…. a team filling a plan… regardless of the accuracy of the plan or whether all the parts needed are there to complete that plan.
  6. Maybe not helped by constant rotation. Though that’s chicken and egg… make yourself undroppable.
  7. In fairness, if you exclude everyone who left early and everyone left angrily booing LM…. 30 blokes is pretty much everyone!
  8. Or did he mean top end of the division below - optimistic in my view!
  9. Williams didn’t have a great game but more worryingly is the amount of moaning arguing, heads-down out there. I counted those “behaviours” variously from: Dickie, Roberts, Williams, Sykes, Conway. It doesn’t appear a happy or fully committed camp. At best they are very confused about their roles.
  10. I’d also question why Williams was decided to be the best man to mark their (significantly taller) top scorer at a corner.
  11. No there’s no hope for Manning. You can simplify this even further. When we appoint managers/manager-style characters they tend to do well here…. as you’ve listed. When we appoint young-up-and-coming or head coach types it goes wrong: LM, LJ, SOD, DMc, BT, DH…. There are probably more and you can take the manager v coach story right back to the days of Cooper, Jordan and then appointing a coach with no managerial experience (Lumsden)… why has the club not learnt?
  12. Good suggestion. strong character, knows what he’s doing, would show Tinnion up for what he is…. So, sadly, there’s 3 reasons he won’t get a job here.
  13. Trouble is, he’s not even likeable is he? Monotone, bland, robotic and lacking in personality are one thing… he may not be able to change but a bit of humility wouldn’t go a miss. Would it kill him to apologise to us supporters for that no-show? He genuinely thinks this is nothing to do with him. He’s a theorist, it’s learnt from books and courses but he’s showing no ability to adapt to situations, there is zero creativity on the pitch or in his decision making.
  14. He’s bought a dud, is well outside the warranty period, he’s maintained it but not improved it but wants his money back… he’s either left in this limbo position or going to have to take a financial hit.
  15. Once he’s learned “tempo/la pausa” I assume his loan will be cancelled and he’ll be transferred to Strictly Come Dancing.
  16. This might be we’ll known to others but was news to me, according to wiki, the ref was once on our books….. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_Allison
  17. Bit harsh….. ….on Chew Magna stiffs!!!
  18. And enquired as to the behaviours of the bar staff.
  19. Thanks. Your question was also fair!
  20. Haha LM is showing no signs of giving youth a chance. I’d rather see Yeboah starting than Mehmeti… the very worst you’d have is zero end product -as now. If I was SL I’d be worried about where my next nest egg booster is coming from.
  21. The pathway is working fine. I will give you directions… head north to Man City bump into a man called Liam. Fail. Head east to Belgium. Fail. Then follow the path to Bristol City… bump into a man called Liam and be no better than what’s there already but stop them wandering up the path.
  22. Yeah but Lansdown couldn’t throw a wobbler and sack him then!!!
  23. A strong character who knows the game and knows what he’s doing… it’ll end badly.
  24. I’ve no idea what was said at interview but I sure as hell wouldn’t take a job where my boss was telling me one message and telling my customers a very different one that didn’t tie up and ran the risk of throwing me under the bus. BT/JL clearly stated to us customers that this was a top-end championship squad and things should be better NOW. If Manning didn’t agree with this, he should not have taken the job.
  25. Personally I think he’ll do well to start next season here. Something doesn’t feel right and never has to me.
