Exactly All this how can an ex defender not sort out the defence , nothing to do with ex defenders it’s about the defenders on the pitch and I’m afraid they are to inconsistent for a top championship side .

It’s not about how good you are as a defender it’s the tools at your disposal and I’m afraid his tools arnt up to scratch . You can’t build a straight wall with a dodgy level .

A manager of his experience has obviously seen a lot in his time and he will know better than anybody with what he sees on the pitch and in training and what the academy is doing wether we are in a good position. From his demeanour in that interview I would say for the first time he is liking what he sees .

I personally think qpr will be our toughest opponent at home so far . got some good young players with a sprinkling of experience. dykes worries me big Scottish oaf / bully up front , think he will play on vyner and outmuscled him but like mitrovic did . cocky manager aswell very confident in himself and team . Honestly think if we get the win it will be time to sit up and think we’re in for a decent season

Sort of feel sorry for McGuire was obviously very good couple of seasons back and had never let England down & still in my eyes never let England down last night ( mistakes yes letting your country down no ) but like other posters say he looks shot to bits , got to remember he is just a lad in his twenties ( earning very good money mind ) playing football but seems to have the whole of England on his back , the bloke has feelings and is human this can’t be easy for him either .

Not many by the looks of things when I drove close by at about 1.30 , was pretty close so thought I would venture up Gloucester Road to see what the match day experience was like . You would never of known there was a match on .seen no one outside any pubs all the way up Gloucester Road and no football looking fans until right by the wellington then I seen about 3 with those stupid tops on . Nothing like bemmy or town before a city game . There are miles away from us in every aspect

Yes remember him playing for them . when I was younger I use to have a lot of interest in non league football . There were some good teams around them even local football with the likes of Lebeq tavern & Hanham sunday , even further back than that I use to watch my uncle play for Portway Bristol & The pen pole on a Sunday some really tough hard and very good players

Personally I would take a point against qpr as long as we get the 3 against Coventry. Think Alex Scott will be a big miss ( suspension) thought we struggled yesterday after he went off missed his guile on the ball
