To be fair there's a reason academy U18's and 23's sides don't play a full league season like the first team do, add the fact all the players are playing a much higher level of football physically then they would be normally it places a higher demand on their bodies as well. If their U18's they're playing burn out half way through the season then what happens? It should have been something that was looked into pre-season though and I doubt it was.

Was down at Taunton this evening, first time I've seen Banton live and some of his and Byrom's hitting was ridiculous. Pope with a great shot for Surrey, very interesting they put Sam Curran in at 3 and he batted well to be fair. We lack someone (or 2) to bowl at the death though, first 8 overs or so was fairly good, limited to around 7.5/8 an over.

If Worcestershire were batting first and went at that rate for the whole 20 they'd have had over 300...
