There wasn't any question asked to him about the City fans in order to illicit a compliment, he came out with it himself.

Pep Guardiola speaks with ITV Sport

It was really tough. Bristol showed us how good they can be. I was impressed by some players, I didn't know them. The second half was much better.

Incredible fans at Bristol. We came here five years ago in the Carabao Cup and it was amazing. I remember it perfectly.

Guardiola had no need to mention the City fans at all. He was obviously genuinely impressed with the City fans and the atmosphere created.

Never said he was asked the question. Just said it's an easy statement to make.

    Take a bow.

    Cracking performance.

Shame that the pass for the first came from his side and the finish for the second came from his side. He looked good but those two moments will potentially make it seem otherwise.

  3. Vyner was an absolute liability with the ball at his feet tonight. Gave Man City two very good opportunities we were lucky they didn't take.

The first he went on a run into midfield for no reason and got dispossessed and the second played a pass straight through the middle to an opposition player. Had us on the backfoot both times.

  4. Very easy comment to make. Compliment fans and you're in the clear.

Same as when a player is asked "weren't the fans great tonight?"... What do you expect them to say, "Nah, they were bollocks"?

  5. Can't believe he got two subs wrong at the same time.

Apparently Sergio Gomez* came on for both Nathan Ake and Phil Foden in the 83rd minute whilst Jay Dasilva** came on for both Cam Pring and Nahki Wells (which were five minutes apart!)

*The other sub was Cole Palmer.

**The other sub was Marlee Francois.

Wycombe Wanderers supporter in peace. I believe the fee was £1m for Mehmessi, a nickname given to him by us. He has been carefully nurtured by our club and is the real deal indeed, just a little surprised, as we all were, that he didn’t go to a bigger club. He definitely has the talent to be Premier bound but keep an eye out for a certain Mr Ainsworth seeking his services in the summer, and for probably double what you paid.
You have a superstar on your hands - look after him.

Good luck for the rest of the season and keep the run going!!

You can come in peace all you like but that suggestion makes literally no sense at all. Why would we sell him for £2m six months later if we also believe he's Premier League-bound eventually? Safe to say we won't be keeping an eye on shit on that one.

And how big a jump did you honestly think a £1m player from L1 was going to take in one-go? Isn't often a Premier League club will go picking up a 22y/o from L1 and integrate into the first team immediately.

  7. One thing I liked about him yesterday was he seems strong too. He gives his marker a little shove to create a little more space for himself when receiving the ball. Should be a very useful player and his confidence is going to be sky-high when he bags his first goal.

Standard forum procedure that isn't it.

I'm sorry but I was busy working/living and didn't have the opportunity to watch videos mid shift.

I'm am happy there are people who are nicer, more respectful and helpful than you are on here and would like to thank them.

As for you, well you didn't have to respond and you have shown yourself as the opposite, thanks for nothing.

Time to write messages asking questions and reading the responses though.

I haven't read that it is going to be sold this season, just that the players are wearing it from now on. Have I missed something or are people just assuming it's launched so will be on sale imminently? Yes it would make sense to sell and get £££, but has anything actually been stated?

Edit: The info might be in Jon's interview which I will admit I've not watched yet, which explains my questions about other kits.

Yep. Go watch and read the info the club have out out first. After that, then see what questions remain. You're asking things which have been answered already.

    Interesting question

Is it better for us to have a decent named brand and have a template kit but potentially better more desirable training/leisurewear that people will want to buy

    or

A smaller company who will give JL more scope to design us something individual (whether or not this is something he should be doing as chairman is for another day) and maybe sell more actual replica shirts?

    A.

  11. Worth considering... If your U12 has a ST. They're going to want the new kit now but you only get the new kit with your ST at the start of next season. Nice and awkward for parents.

I only bought the pink training kit this year as I didn't like any of the shirts. Now I want both of these keepers shirts. I'm also wondering what the training wear and second and third kits will be like.

Surely we will have a kit clash away before the end of the season and so will have to reveal the alternative as we can't wear the current ones.

JL already said the away would be shown in the next few weeks.
