The defeat and display against Brum were totally down to NPs call to play Sam Bell at RB in a flat back four. Shockingly bad judgement. Still agree we need to at least give it a go today, even if we do end up well beaten.

I thought Nigel Pearson was just the appointment we needed, but it is not turning out that way. History tells us his successful stints are when he had Craig Shakespeare as coach, now he has Curtis Fleming. Given the continuous inability to get an organised defence, should Fleming's position not be seriously questioned? There must be options to change the coach, and keep the manager, surely?

Britton, the Barnsley right back, would be a good target to strengthen our side in the summer.

Yep, aside from giving away 2 soft goals, I don't recall their keeper having a serious shot to save. We looked better with Williams on, without him it's been dreadful both before and after.

Perhaps Martin has been giving them lessons!

Pearson has tried this nonsense, of having Martin, Semenyo, Weimann and Wells on at the same time several times, never worked before, be amazed if it works tonight. We have Benarous on the bench, bring him on to play in midfield and get passenger Martin off.

What gets me, is Wells made a real difference on Saturday but Martin preferred again. Even after a 1st half when Martin was a virtual passenger, Pearson keeps him on.

Get Martin off for Wells or Conway, and we can still turn this around and grab a point. Barnsley will get very anxious if we can get 1 back.

Yes, at least the last 5 mins we have kept possession a bit. Martin still a complete passenger, need to get him off and either give Wells a go (he made a difference Saturday), or give Conway some game time.

30 mins gone, and apart from winning a couple of fouls from contested headers, Martin still not touched the ball.

For me after the clean sheet in ages, you have to stick with same back 3 and James sitting, Williams driving. Wells made a real difference when he came on Saturday and for me deserves a start, and I'd rather see Weimann in the no.10 role, with Scott at RWB, so: Bents Cundy, Klose, Atkinson Scott Dasilva James, Williams Weimann Wells, Semenyo
