First 30 mins much like the Preston game, don;t think we have had a shot yet. Knight can't get into the game, Bell and Sykes seem reticent to take their man on out wide.
I really rate Pring but he was one of several players to put in below par performances against PNE, whilst Roberts was brilliant against Oxford. For me he had earned the place and it's sending the wrong message to keep Pring in.
Both me and my step-son were highly optimistic before the game, but the manner of play had drained much of that, and would have even if we had held on for an undeserved 1-0 win.
Agree at times looked like the worst of last season. My deflated step-son summed it up really "New Season Same Shit".
I agree, Sykes all day long for me. Trouble with Cornick he, as you say, is not a wide man, he is not a CF, not sure what he is or adds, other than a really good long throw.
1-1 FT, fair result tbh.
Vyner & Dickie our best two players which tells you lots.
Ball retention when in possession was really poor.
James looks a yard slower that last season, and he wasn't sprightly then! Really missed Scott today, was hoping Knight would step up but he didn't do that great either.
