  1. I think the tweet was taking the Mick out of the FB post.
  2. Oh my Lord! ?? Why? Is the existing amount of Rolling Stock on the network not enough to ferry a some Sagheads from Patchway and Filton Abbey Wood every other Saturday? ?
  3. This hypocrisy had occurred to me. Pearson asks legitimate questions about the number of penalty decisions that had gone against us over a freakishly long amount of time and they call him a moaner. Scrappy Doo says/screams something at a referee deemed serious enough to get him banned from the ground and its “passion” because he ‘understands’ and ‘gets’ the Gas ?
  4. Incredibly many of their weirdos are actually proud that their manager has been banned from the ground. ? Shows passion apparently… They really are ******* idiots.
  5. Sheffield Weds at home 91ish stood on the Open End in a blizzard was no joke either.
  6. Wouldn’t make much financial sense, whatever they do to the Rugby ground they won’t be able to make money from it every day. For all their harping on about our supposedly plastic stadium they and their owners know that what Lansdown has done with us is the way forward. We’ve just been able to do it without upping sticks and moving away from our roots. Whatever they get at the Fruit Market they’ll never have what we have at Ashton Gate, an impressive, modern looking stadium that is also a spiritual home with over a century of history.
  7. Just a reminder of the 2 stands opened in Bristol during the Summer of 2016. Mind the Gap. RIP Tent End, we’ll never forget you. ?
  8. Ahh well, apparently his career went downhill after he left Rovers according to the fewers….. ?? He may not have played every game for us but let’s be honest he’d never have played any Championship football with them let alone experienced playing in a League Cup quarter final against one of the biggest clubs in the World. “I bet he wished he’d stayed and continued to be a Gas legend” they crow, as if that’s anyones ambition in life or Taylor himself gives a ****!
  9. It must be quite galling when you’ve had to put up with Barton making a laughing stock of your club all season and then you don’t even have a dodgy promotion to celebrate in May to make up for it all. ?
  10. Spare a thought please for all the thick Slagheads who were going off in their pants back in August about the ‘gap’ closing and the certain promotion they were going to achieve this year They were at it again around Christmas. Well done Sharton, great season ? Finishing below all those teams you and your deluded, arrogant fans consider inferior ?
  11. Some paranoid little bunnies there ? They’re already the 3rd best supported sports club in this City and could possibly be 4th IF they have a poor season and their fans forget where the Mem is. Don’t think it’ll happen, they’ll be saved by bigger clubs away support for a start but imagine how embarrassing it WOULD be if the women actually did average the same or more?
  12. I thought the away allocation at Home Park was usually 1600?
  13. Its kind of you to post those figures but unnecessary as I agreed with you that opening a new stadium (or substantial redevelopment of an existing stadium in our case) would see an increase in crowd numbers, whether that’s us, Brighton, Swansea or even the Blue Few. My point was that we have maintained high attendances despite 2 relatively poor seasons and season ticket sales are again looking healthy for next year. Once the novelty of a new ground wears off the Gas crowds will soon be back down to their usual sub 10k numbers if they’re not challenging for promotion in whatever division they’re in.
  14. We also had average attendances of 16k+ in our first spell this century in the second tier, falling to 14k during the final dross filled seasons before relegation back to L1. As has already been pointed out, the ground redevelopment significantly reduced our capacity in the seasons you’ve mentioned between 2013-16. In fact in our first season back in the Championship Ashton Gate was the most full stadium % wise of crowds to capacity outside the Premier League, which wasn’t bad as we spent most of the season in the bottom 5. In a new stadium Rovers would undoubtedly see an increase in crowds. If success doesn’t come on the pitch those crowds will soon drop dramatically. There’s no way they would average 19/20k like we have in the last two seasons of bottom half Championship football.
  15. Do Sheffield Utd really want Neil Warnock to be relegated? Sheffield Utd have nothing to bust a gut for, would’ve been different if the title was still a possibility or their place in the autos was under threat but it’s not. Huddersfield are well worth a bet tonight.
  16. So they deleted the tweet but not the Facebook post. What s gift they are ?
  17. Oh yeah, I forgot….that was someone else’s fault. Always someone else’s fault ?
  18. I do love it when seasons pan out like this for them. Back in August they were proper buoyant, “we’re coming for you shitheads” Same at Christmas “mind the gap shitheads” Come May and they’re comfortably bottom half League 1 exactly where their cretinous thug of a manager found them 2 years ago struggling against Shrewsbury away. ?
  19. Yep, park in Ealing as close to Broadway station as possible then Central Line to White City.
  20. I do like Willem II and their fans, nothing wrong with having friends and their supporters have shown genuine class towards us when we’ve lost well known City fans in the past as well as welcoming us to their home. I can’t imagine the club ever arranging a friendly with them unfortunately but there you go.
  21. Whilst I totally agree with your post he did have two wins in L1…..we had to wait until the end of October for the first one, away to Carlisle, then Crawley on a Tuesday night a couple of weeks later. 2013 was so dire.
  22. I don’t think Warnock could’ve wished for better opponents at a better time.
