  1. You can't stop anyone moving jobs subject to contract.
  2. Reason why I buy the training tops.
  3. The South Stand is hardly full at the moment, you want to spread the butter that thin Realistically this is won't happen for logistical reasons - if they they can redevelop the Atyeo, maybe this could be incorporated - i.e. shove the away fans to the right side like in the first division days.
  4. It's not really those clubs in particular (though deep down it might be!), it's more of a frustration that unless and until we can up our levels we're always going to lose players that can get us there before we've given ourselves a chance to get there. Almost a self fulfilling prophecy. It's like only able to run 25 miles of the marathon.
  5. Yep. Life is life. It's the hope that gets me ...
  6. Wow, you've got a good memory. I can't even recall the name. Wikipedia says he made 3 appearances on loan.
  7. JJ liked to defend leads. Didn't he play the lone striker role that game?
  8. Not sure how either us or Charlton missed the 6 yard box chances. Our defender did extremely well to clear the ball from the chance FB had tipped onto the bar. FB almost gifted them two goals with languid "clearances" from pass-backs. Overall there wasn't much in it. We just need to keep going and the results will come. COYR.
  9. Most of those players have a male namesake that play or played for city!
  10. Most managers get the sack don't they, so I guess it doesn't usually end well. We seemed to be punching above our weight whilst we were in division one - even getting their was a great acheivement. Better to have loved and lost and all that, and that's down to AD and his staff. He will always be held in high regard by those that remember those times. It seems to me that the directors/owners of the club mismanaged players/contracts so badly following the Gary Collier debacle - put a millstone around the manager's neck, and sank us into financial and footballing ruin.
  11. I know what you're saying OP, but he was only on loan so never really our player. It's when we have contracted players that move on to 'bigger/better' clubs to further their careers because it makes me sad that we are still way behind the curve, and not expected to achieve anything. Take HNM, probably the most exciting player, and the fantastic prospect Alex Scott. I don't want them to move on to a better clubs, but realisically we'll lose them both, possibly this season. Our only hope in these circumstances is to upcycle our squad quickly and get into a position to make these sort of players believe that we can go with them on their journey. A tall order.
  12. I'll be WFH so I'll stick it on in the background.
  13. Oh, please. Just, please.
  14. Bangkok 1980s. You had to be there. I wasn't.
  15. Ha. Mine isn't (although it should be), but I wear it just so that no one thinks I'm a wierdo for not wearing a coat in the rain. At least it keeps my headphones from getting too wet.
  16. I'm assuming a maximum of two from Semenyo, Baker, Wells, HNM, Dasilva, & Williams might be available. Martin has looked tired the last two games, and he and Weimann haven't hooked up particularly well. Andy King might be in for Bakinson? Could we get Scott in? I'm not sure COD is fit to start - and he was off thge pace Wednesday. Britton on the bench? Who knows. Looking forward to seeing the team ...
  17. Not something I'd ever want to see: You'd probably have to watch "two girls, one cup" to get rid of the image (idle brag: never seen it, never want to).
  18. See here https://www.gov.uk/online-and-distance-selling-for-businesses/online-selling The main point seems to be: If you supply downloads or streaming services, you must: get the customer to confirm before they download or stream content that they are aware they’ll lose their 14 day right to cancel And it goes on to say "If you do not follow these rules, the customer will keep their 14 day right to cancel without paying." So, if the contract terms given (or in the blurb when you purchase the pass) don't mention this, I'd say* you can exercise your 14 day right to cancel under the online/distance selling regulations. (*I'm obviously non a lawyer if I'm posting on here, so that's just my opinion ...)
  19. You've just triggered a memory, Fevs! I remember all the paper talk being about TT before the game. I've got a memory that it was basically end to end stuff. Lot of Plymouth fans. Proper old school boxing day affair. Was there a pen involved? I was in 6th form at the time, but I'd have though you're too young to remember this?
  20. This was right in front of me. I thought "No way he's getting there. Oh, he's committed himself, let's hope he makes it. He's going to break a leg, and it might be his own. [Big cheer] . Thank F for that!".
  21. With 'My old man said ...' already taken: 'He's the meanest, he sucks a horse's [second part of what TP is known as ...], [Manager/Player/Owner] is a horse's ass'
  22. We could end up defending very deep and not be able to get the ball out. Or NP has a cunning plan to counter attack at pace and get runners in behind their high defensive line. I'd definately take the draw now.
  23. The dumbfcks can boo if they like but those of us that can think for ourselves and aren't bitter and twisted will give him a clap.
  24. StreamAMG were 100% useless when I had an issue, and will no doubt continue to automatically send boilerplate generic support emails in response to anything sent to the support address. I guess the best option is to use a credit card if you can and make a chargeback if things don't work. You can then use the email you sent to the support address as evidence to the credit card company if the chargeback gets challenged. This will only help for one-off purchases.
